I just received this TV as an early Christmas present, after much agonizing and reading conflicting reviews, and so far I’m very happy with it. But I do think that this would be a very different review if I had tried to access the smart TV features. I’ve read many reviews, about various smart TVs, and have watched a good friend just about lose her mind trying to get the apps to download on a brand new smart TV - so I knew going into this that I wasn’t going to bother with downloading the Samsung phone app and connecting all of my accounts. Instead, I simply hooked up my Roku player, which is already set up and working just fine. By doing this I was literally watching the next episode of Fellow Travelers within 30 minutes of the TV being delivered. Apart from using the Roku, by the end of the evening I had all of my Bluetooth headphones and speakers paired as well as my Roku remote so that I can turn the TV on and off and adjust the volume with just one remote. I’ve read reviews for this TV that find the brightness of the picture and volume of the audio to be lacking, but I find both to be perfectly fine right out of the box. I did do some tweaking of the settings, such as turning the horrible smooth motion feature off and adjusting to a warmer color temperature, but overall I’m very happy with the quality and clarity of the image and the quality and volume of the audio. And I love having the option of very easily switching to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. I only deducted one star due to the fact that any smart TV tends to make otherwise intelligent people feel decidedly un-smart, and it just doesn’t have to be like that. If you’ve already got an up-to-date ROKU, or similar streaming player that has all of your settings and channels and payment options set up, I say save yourself the migraine and just get on with it! ... show more

    • TV is defective
We purchased this tv & it arrived today. After trying for 2 hours we are unable to overcome a "Smarthub is updating. Try again later" error message. First, Samsung forces you to download their SmartThings app to use the tv & requires you to forgo all kinds of privacy. The SmartHub app is terrible & kept freezing. I'm actually shocked by how terrible this experience was. We're returning this expensive brick tomorrow. Samsung has lost 2 customers. ... show more

    • Disappointment during unboxing...
I can't provide a review yet, because I can't mount the TV just yet. I tried to mount TV to my existing wall mount only to find out that Samsung no longer provides the screws that match the holes in THEIR TV. Disappointed, The cost avoidance by Samsung, and others, have become ridiculous. I will update the review once I get it mounted and can give it a test drive. ... show more
