    • Does Exactly What a Chromebook Should Without Acting Fancy About It
I bought this Chromebook knowing exactly what it is—and more importantly, what it isn’t. This is not a gaming rig, a video-editing monster, or a device that wants to replace your desktop and steal your job. It’s a Chromebook. And at that job? It absolutely nails it. First impression: it’s ridiculously lightweight. Like “did they forget to put parts inside?” lightweight. Toss it in a bag, carry it one-handed, no problem. The 11.5" screen is bright, clear, and easy on the eyes. Not flashy, just clean and functional. Performance-wise, for what it’s meant to do, it’s smooth. Chrome OS boots fast, apps open quickly, and it handles multitasking better than I expected for a Celeron with 4GB of RAM. With 4GB of RAM, it handles tabs just fine as long as you don’t open 47 of them at once. Respect the machine, and it respects you back. Battery life is solid, WiFi is fast, Bluetooth connects without tantrums, and the keyboard is surprisingly comfortable for something this compact. Webcam is perfectly fine for video calls. Not cinematic, but nobody needs to see that much detail anyway. Also worth mentioning: this is renewed, and if you didn’t tell me, I wouldn’t know. It arrived clean, in great condition, and works exactly like it should. No weird quirks, no mystery problems. It felt less “used” and more “gently returned by someone who didn’t read the description.” This Chromebook is a great buy. It’s lightweight, responsive, and doesn’t overpromise or underdeliver. my device looks brand new, ZERO damage, it does get choppy when using streaming radio app and surfing at the same time, just those two things and it cant keep up. the keyboard sometimes has horrible delays (you type and sit and wait for the app to catch up you are typing in) and sometimes it does the "stuck key" thing where it types 40 letter r`s for you randomly, you cannot stop it, just have to wait for it`s mind to quit and let you clear it. it`s OK so far outside the issues I mentioned, for $110, I am happy with it, but it`s not anything more than a $110 machine, and that`s OK. ... show more

    • Non upgradable. Not ssd, emmc storage. Released in 2019, not 2024. Still decent for the price..
Decent chromebook, however, don't be mislead by the description as I was. The drive on this is no ssd, but rather an emmc which cannot be upgraded, same with the ram, as both are soldered onto the board. Additionally, this is no 2024 model, but rather was released in in 2019. Research Samsung model # xe310xba for the full and actual specs. That being said, for the price it can still handle a mid appload responsibly. p.s. I bought this CB to use as a larger screen for the positive grid spark app and it does so efficiently. So I don't feel taken for a ride, however, I do expect Amazon renewed/refurb shop to do a little more honest business and to provide more information on the product being sold. Final thought: At the price point, I took a gamble and broke even. At the least, it can support external storage devices and I would recommend a usb c supportable expansion for additional ports as needed or to connect a mouse +.
