  • Nice Bike NOT NOT NOT
The media could not be loaded. I really like this bike and want to right a great review, but I have only rode 70 miles and there are a few problems. LCD goes to zero when I stop peddling and then to 62 MPH as soon as I start peddling ( im not that fast). Rear brake barely slows the bike down, and the rear end is squeaking, I tried to check to make sure the rear tire was on straight (as it came attached already) and it is off by a little, so I went to straighten it and the bolt on the left side of the rear tire was cross treaded. I took it off and was able to get it on straight but the nut never would get tight. Sent information to seller and waiting for a response. Update, Customer service is great, they are trying to help me get this bike back to top shape, they sent me a new LCD and I stalled it yesterday, went for a ride. only thing wrong with it now is it shows I am going 6 mph when all other bikes in the ride showed we were going 12 miles a hour. But I emailed them last night and the awesome customer service sent me directions on how to adjust the LCD and I seems to have worked, will only be able to tell when I go for a ride this evening. Then another problem started last night on the ride home, the peddle assist would stop working, and the only way to get it back was to stop and shut off the bike and restart it, so hopefully it was just a glitch, but going for a ride today and will see. Thanks for the fast response from customer service. Second update, I can only ride the bike in the neighbor hood. As I am scared to take it out on long rides, I have done more work on this new bike than I should have to, I have replaced the LCD twice, peddle assist, Taking the bike apart and checked the wires, made sure everything is plugged in, I bought a new bike to enjoy and ride, not work on. They want me to take it to a bike shop and have them work on it, but I contacted 3 and non would work on it as I did not buy it from them. I guess I should have just spent a bit more money and bought local. I would pass on this bike, we have great trails in the dessert here and would love to enjoy them, but its hot and don't want to get stranded in the middle of no where. I'm working on this bike, so good luck to you if you buy it. Only giving 2 stars as the customer service was trying. but when I suggested we swap out bikes they wanted a restocking fee ($300 plus) and then offered to give me a credit toward a new bike if I bought it from them. Sorry, but I'm done. Update 3: I continued to work with them as they have it down to a art of keeping you working on it till the return window is closed. My advice would be to return it as soon as you get it. They will have you replace this and that then when nothing works, they will just leave you hanging. I am working with Amazon right now and hoping they come thru, I believe this seller should be removed from Amazon. Read the other reviews, I normally take reviews with a grain of salt, but I will now start watching what I buy after reading the reviews. Please look at other sellers, They are working it in their favor. Then when you do insist on returning it they state: Pro-Ebike has closed the return request listed below. Reason for the closure of your request: Hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned I assume its Hazardous material, Update. Amazon customer service sucks. they keep telling me to work with the seller, but will not give me a phone number to talk to anyone. The seller will not send parts that work and then again drag you on till you are past the return policy. Then when you talk to amazon customer service they call you a liar and then inform you that if you take them to court they will block your account. DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE.... ... show more

  • Ebike problems but great customer service.
I have tried to like this bike even after It came with the front brake not working,the back brake almost not working and a loose chain on day 1 that I fixed and improved. The last straw is the fact that I'm about to be late for work because of a error code that have no idea how to fix. Never again will I buy from this company. Update: To be fair, the customer service is trying to resolve the problems with my bike by sending a replacement for the ebike controller (Claire is extremely helpful) but it is hard to be convinced that I can reliably ride my bike again. I raised it two stars for excellent customer service. Update 2: I must say that the customer service definitely came through for me. They sent me a new motor after they figured that was the major problem and I rode it to work and back with no problems in a 30° temperature day. Thanks again Claire!   • Not the bike that is advertised!
The bike did not come with users manual or installation instructions but being that I felt confidence based on my experience with assembling bikes as a child, I went for it and assembled it based on common sense. Took a while but it worked. Since first time with e-bike, it took me a ride before I figured out how to start it (no users manual) and weeks to figure out how to turn on the headlight. My biggest issue is that most of the information on the ad was completely different from the product itself. The size of the bike, the fat tires, and the display were about the only things accurate. The Samebike that is pictured is actually a Rurui and the motor is on the bottom front of the frame instead of the rear. The CST puncture free tires that it sells you on are non existent and my first brush with a goat head showed me just how thin and vulnerable the tire that they replaced it with was. The pouch and the lock that it shows come with the bike are also not included. I had done a lot of research when I bought the bike and to be fair, the most important things about my purchase were that I had a powerful enough motor for my frame and that it could stand my 275lbs while being rugged enough to withstand thorns on tires since I didn’t want to ne stranded in high desert riding. Since the bike noted to stand weight of over 300 lbs and had puncture resistant CST tires, I decided one the Samebike. After I reached out to customer service initially, I was first told that the goat head that punctured my tire was too sharp, but after I did extensive research on the tire they sent that was not puncture resistant according to the manufacturer, they finally admitted that the tire that they sent me was different than advertised and that they would do a replacement of those tires in 6-8 weeks. That was obviously not going to work. We went through back and forth messages for about 4 weeks before we came to a resolution that I came up with on that issue. They did send me the owners manual and the installation video as I was discussing with them but then the manual said that the weight carrying limit was below my weight at 265 lbs versus their advertised 315 lbs. Because I’ve ridden the bike and it appears sturdy enough for me, I will assume that that is a conservative estimate and keep the bike because I’m really trying to like the bike. I honestly only am giving the extra star because Carrie made it work for me after all the back and forth wasted time with her customer service and I’m not going to shoot the messenger on what she can do. If you are going to buy this bike, please know that you are not getting the product that is shown on the pictures or described in great detail and if you can live with that, enjoy the ride. ... show more

  • Worst experience I've ever had on Amazon
Worse experience I have ever had on Amazon. Out of the box the headlight and taillight did not work The handlebars would not stay tightened and the chain kept falling off. I tried to get resolution from the seller but they made me go through difficult obstacle to get resolution and would either tell me I did it wrong or give me instructional videos that were not helpful. It is now almost two months and I still do not have resolution. Amazon was able to give me a small credit but it does not make up for the time I spent with arbitration and the time and money I will spend fixing the bike on my own ... show more
