When I started running fasted I was looking for something that would replenish electrolytes but not break my fast. I was directed to these Salt Stick caplets, and I'm so glad! They are fantastic. I run in Florida. I sweat like a salty pig. I used to have swollen hands on long runs, and often got chills as well, which of course is the beginning of heat sickness. Could lead to very bad things. But if I make sure to take about one of these per mile, those things no longer happen to me! Seriously! Now, admittedly, the bottle says don't take more than 10 per day. I definitely have taken 13-15 in one day during hot half-marathona though and I was fine. I think maybe those guidelines are for regular people, and not people who can exfoliate their faces with the salt stuck on them after a run. But of course consult your doctor, etc. If you are a sweaty runner, you run in hot places, your hands swell, or you're trying to replenish electrolytes while fasting, definitely try these. ... show more

They have helped me so much... I have just moved to a dry area of the country from high humidity... I drink alot but still loosing mineral and they weren't getting replenished with just water.. Thanks to a local who told me about these.

lessons learned on my prior marathons revealed that “salt” intake was far more important than water hydration. After experimenting with this product, I have far less cramping (after) and feel far better during my long runs. This one is a no-brainer

This is a great product to use every spring summer and fall to help you acclimate to the hot weather. I love it it helps you not get sweaty and gives you lots of energy. I tend to be sensitive taking some medication’s that I’ve never had an issue with this. We have purchased this several times. My husband works out in a automotive shop with no air-conditioning and sometimes 110° and he takes this every day as his electrolyte. He has never had any issues. Fast acting, easy solution. My teenager struggles with dehydration due to a diagnosed medical problem. These have been a game changer for him. It's as if he goes from being a flat tire, to having air pumped into him. He takes them before he is planning on exerting himself with sports, or takes one if he's been playing sports, outdoors in the heat or dry air (skiing).
