  • First time, so far so good
Color: Dance Again
It took me about an hour and a half to do my first hand, and about 40 mins for my second. This is my first time using poly gel and I love it so far. 45 second base coat dry time, 45 seconds for poly gel, and 1 min for top coat. With experience I know it can be done faster. My nails feel strong and I’m very familiar with acrylics from a salon so I’m hoping this can cut my $200 a month nail expense. Don’t forget to file the corners on a slightly angle facing middle of nail, to avoid the boat paddle look you’ll see in these reviews. I’m hoping to get a week’s worth of these I will update later. **update** They can easily last 2 weeks if done properly, meaning no lifting around the nails and a decent polygel layer. I use my nails a lot to open packages, unlock doors, 100% type on a computer job, handle a toddler and these nails in the photo lasted through it all. I’ve also used the red polygel from here but it did not last as well and needed more time under the light. It is not easy to take these off with acetone either, I would soak and scrape off a layer, and re-soak. I do like the product and will continue to practice. ... show more

  • Helpful tips
Color: Clear
Remember that this product likes to be stored in cool dry places. If you find it is sticky and difficult to work with, then pop it in the fridge for a few hours. It makes such a big difference in the way this product performs. It’s build able and easy to maneuver where you want it without the sticky mess. I have also found that rubbing alcohol (atleast 70%) works better than slip solution and you can use less of it which results in better more consistent curing. I use this with nail tips rather than dual forms. I feel like it’s easier to control the edges and underside to avoid lifting later. I use the two bead method and work around the side walls for a good apex and clean edges. You want to avoid pooling around the sides/ cuticle area so take extra time to really pat down and feather those edges. I use a cuticle pushes to go around the sides and ensure no product is around the skin. I also use a good dehydrator and primer prior to working with this product. My nails last for weeks with no lifting. When they grow out I file off all the color, smooth it out and fill for a new set. ... show more

  • Stiffer than other polygel brands
Color: Daisy Pink
Stiffer than other polygel products. I had to warm it up a little by holding it under my arm until it was able to be sculpted into place. Having said that… I would buy it again.

  • Beginner Friendly
Color: Natural Pink
I purchased a few different colors of this polygel, I noticed that some are a tad pit stickier than others but still very easy to work with. I’m not a nail tech but was looking at ways to save money and I absolutely love these products! Definitely recommend!
