Optimum Nutrition used to make a mocha flavored pre-work out many years ago, and that was always my go-to. I'd put it in my afternoon coffee with their Double Rich Chocolate protein, drink it on the way to the gym after work, and nail every workout with my trainer. So I was absolutely devastated when they stopped making it and I hesitated for YEARS trying a fruity flavor. I finally took the leap, and ordered this. I love almost everything about it - taste, price, effectiveness, and I especially love that it doesn't include Red 40 in the ingredients. I have improved my workout performance and duration much quicker with this than I did without it. I work out between 5 and 6 every night, so I was worried that with the added caffeine, it would keep me up all night. It absolutely does not. In fact, because I'm working out harder, I'm sleeping better, and there's no yucky crash that you get with high sugar energy or coffee drinks. It has a great taste, no after taste, it's not too sweet, and not too tart. The ONLY thing I notice is that it never 100% dissolves, but it's never gritty, so it doesn't bother me at all. If you are looking for a light kick to start your workout if you aren't really feeling it, or a push to scale up weight, duration or performance, this is an amazing option, and I'd recommend it to anyone. I like the fruit punch flavor and it mixes very well. I did get itchiness as a side effect at first but no longer do after a couple uses. Does seem to give me more energy before working out.

I was trying my friends pre-workout and it was making me very jittery, which made me try this one first of the flavor is awesome. It’s literally Kool-Aid. Every other one I tried was horrible tasting this one. I actually enjoy with my friends and other ones I usually take half and have really bad jitters with this one.
