  • Great value
Size: 11 Color: Wrought Iron/Black/Vibrant Orange
Fit perfect size 11. Very comfortable and stylish. Very happy.

  • I did the thing you’re not supposed to do…
Size: 8.5 Color: Wrought Iron/Black/Vibrant Orange
I pulled these right out of the box and went on a 17mile backpacking trip in the High Uintas. They worked out great, lots of support and my feet didn’t hurt at all. My two buddies that went with me wore their hiking shoes that have been broken in and both got blisters on the way up while I didn’t. The water resistance is nice too, we were caught in a bad hail storm on the way down, the trail turned into a river but my feet stayed nice and dry ... show more

  • Very few hiking reviews
Size: 12.5 Color: Wrought Iron/Black/Vibrant Orange
I haven’t seen a lot of reviews for these after actual hiking use. If you just plan to use these as daily drivers, they are fine and look good. These boots are labeled hiking boots. They are probably closer to trail shoes. Bought a half size down from sneakers and half size up from boots. Snug fit with a little flex. Not as loose in the toe box as typical hiking boots. Fabric uppers didnt require break in. Light weight and comfortable on groomed trails. Performed decent in light mud, gravel, and brush without any sliding. Thin soles, so I felt the rocks under my feet and some slippage once my hike got bumpy, even after replacing the insoles. Ankle support was a bit low (these are mids). Not a whole lot of mileage in these yet, but so far they are decent and I would buy them again. ... show more

  • Light and comfortable.
Size: 10 Color: Wrought Iron/Black/Vibrant Orange
Just did 8 miles with lots of creeks and mud. Dang! Feet stayed dry! The best light boot I have ever worn!

  • Somewhat disappointing for Salomon
Size: 9 Color: Wrought Iron/Black/Vibrant Orange
By the name, I guess that they intend this to be a mid-height approach shoe as much as a hiking boot. It has a Med-Hi tongue gusset for debris exclusion, but the weak lacing pattern makes it difficult to achieve a good ankle lock and heel seat. The overall construction quality is excellent. The trail lugged sole is particularly strong and grippy. There is moderate cushioning, but the insole is worthless and must be replaced with an orthotic to be true hiking boot. With an orthotic, they feel good but have a slightly sloppy heel fit owing to the lace pattern. The decision to use a heel tab instead of a loop makes it difficult to put on without completely relaxing the laces. Salomon discontinuing this model is not a loss as there are superior boots out there at this price point. ... show more

  • Very light and comfortable
Size: 13 Color: Black/Ebony/Vanilla Ice
Okay, so ive owned two pairs of Ultra Pioneer MID $199 now $97, two pairs of Ultra Raptor II GTX $198, and now these. In this order, they go from "hiking hiking" to more of a light, shoe hightop. I am 6'5 235lbs. bad ankle with rods. I stand 12hrs at a time. Great high top, light weight, water proof. Love them. Wish they would send out a 2nd pair of laces though. ... show more

  • Disappointed
Size: 9.5 Color: Wrought Iron/Black/Vibrant Orange
Have owned Solomon boots in he past and loved them. These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. Bought them a size larger. They are so narrow and I do not have a wide foot. Trying shoe trees in them to see if they will stretch. If not, to the dump with them.

  • Good
Size: 9.5 Color: Black/Ebony/Vanilla Ice
Durable and waterproof. They performed well in the mountains and woods. However, these are a shoe, boot hybrid. I noticed the rubber "cushion" part of the shoe already has some cuts from branches on the forest floor. Even though they're still good, because of their design, there might be some durability issues with heavy use. ... show more
