We highly recommend using distilled water to prolong the life of your steamer and to prevent mineral build-up caused by hard water (tap water). Is it necessary to drain the water and reservoir after each use? It's best practice to drain the excess water from the tank and reservoir to prolong the life of your steamer and to prevent mineral build-up. It also prevents water from spilling while in storage. I just got my steamer and the steam hose is really stiff. The hose is made with dual-insulated material to regulate temperature and once you start using your steamer, the hose will become softer. How do I troubleshoot leaking issues? Leaking usually happens when the water tank cap is not screwed properly to the water tank. I saw one of these in Germany that I fell in love with because of the convenience and the quick job that it did on steaming the clothes, plus I hate to iron because I’m not good at it. The one I fell in love with in Germany was not brand and probably cost four times as much so it was sturdier, but this one does the trick, especially for the money paid. It feels more lightweight than the one that I used there, but that can be a good thing when it comes to moving it around. I had a new shower curtain that was so pretty but when I took it out of the packaging, the fabric was so wrinkled.. It took maybe 3-4 minutes to make it look spectacular and wrinkle free. I recently purchased a garment standing steamer for $150 plus tax, drawn to its sleek, slim design, which is perfect for small spaces.
