Had a job to weld door hinges.last weld used a mig welder it look horrible.first time trying this thing so I was a bit shook I was using my generator as electricity but it kept dying out.i swore it was the sticks provided.just before I was gonna pack it up and get more sticks near by.i asked the guy on-site to plug me in to his outlet.soon as I did that I was welding Luke a pro.laughs turned into silence real fast.no circular motions just a build and drag slowly.after I was done the guy took a couple packs with a hammer to test it.didnt budge!! In the pics you'll see the mess the guy made.then the cleaner version I did.after cutting off most of the crap them welding.i say buy it.i return alot if stuff but this one is by far a keeper.

Several of my friends helped me evaluate four different portable, IGBT Handheld Welders over the last few weeks. What I (we) learned will be reflected in individual reviews. but to start off, two were excellent machines, one was adequate and one left a lot to be desired. All, given some practice andd experience, could do an adequate job welding within their stated parameters. This one, manufactured by MENDED, has emerged as the clear leader in terms of overall value. It is IDENTICAL in every way to the one we considered to be the best portable, IGBT Handheld Welder up tp this evaluation. The ONLY differences we can discern are; 1) the color - the MENDED welder is red vs gray, 2) the name on the side is MENDED and 3) the price - 14% lower. All of the features, the clamp-style electrode holder, the front mounted on-off switch, the Amp Control Dial, are exactly the same, and, except for the color, the housing is IDENTICAL. And the excellent performance is the same as the more expensive welder from a 'competitive manufacturer. Of the four this would be the closest one to a 5 star rating. Still, with limited time with this machine I can't, in good conscience, give it 5 stars, only time can justify that rating

This little Sakertool Portable Welding Machine is good for small projects or perhaps tack welding, and if you need something quick and dirty, this is a great thing to have in a backpack. The size and light weight make it extremely portable. It has surprising power for a handheld unit. The ease of use is great for quick setups. While it will never replace a full-size welder, the overall quality is good for its purpose. Based on the solid construction, the durability should be adequate for frequent job site use.

Arrived well-organized in a durable case. The welder functions and performs well. The kit comes with everything you need to get started. Personal preference would be to have less weight at the top of the handheld and increase the weight distribution overall instead of being so top-heavy. Easy to operate, compact welder that's a great size for many small projects. Not meant for heavy duty welding, but works perfectly for around the house stuff and tacking. The small and portable form factor makes this incredibly useful. There's a lot of jobs where you can't/not worth dragging out a full welding machine and this is perfect for those.
