    • I am uncertain about longer blade.

The short blade seems to work well but I am not sure the power is enough for the longer blade. It would get stuck and just didn't do as good a job. I thought about returning it but I do like the shorter blade trimmer.

This is the most useful hand tool! I have 2 acres of land, multiple garden box’s and flower beds. I hate to use a gas trimmer. This trimmer has made life so much easier for me. I have gardens, and when the grass needs trimming the big trimmer is too much next to my lavender etc. It works so great, light, comes with two chargers (although the charge lasts a long time.) So glad I found it!! I love it!!
