DO NOT BUY FOR REAR FACING! I bought this car seat to use for my grand daughter who is about 25 lbs. I didn’t install it at purchase because I was waiting till my grand son was out of his infant seat. When I did install it I was confused as to why it wasn’t secure. The bottom is not stable. The first time I put my grand daughter in it, she leaned forward and it tipped completely straight. She was terrified and refused to get back in the seat. The company claimed it was installed improperly, but all instructions were followed. And has not responded to emails with my concerns. The solution was to place a rolled up towel underneath for support 🤦♀️ I purchased a different car seat that has a full base. ... show more

I bought this car seat strictly for airplane travel as I have a very big 2 year old who needs their own space on airplanes. The car seat was great to bring through the airport (attached it to a box cart) and to install on the plane as a rear facing seat - it is very lightweight and easy to install with the airplane seatbelt. There was no room for the person in front of us to lean their chair back, however. 5 stars for airplane travel! For use in a car as a rear-facing car seat is another story. I personally don’t like how it attaches to the car and the strap is very difficult to adjust. I have to use a towel to support the base (as directed in the manual) and it makes the seat very unsteady. It’s okay for temporary use while traveling but I would not use this car seat on a regular basis. 3 stars for this type of use. ... show more

    • Okay seat. Kid likes it. BUT IT RATTLES SOOO MUCH (so so much....) when unoccupied
Positives: I think it looks good. Narrow but still comfortable for the kids. Back is especially narrow so it does not cover any other seat belt buckles when installed in the center. It's versatile enough to grow with the kid from back-facing to seat-belt only booster. The side impact support seems good for safety and the harness accommodate bigger kids for even more safety. MEH: I think for the price, it should include a proper latch instead of some belt with two minimal clips that you have to thread through the seat to install. I couldn't trust it so I just installed it using a seat belt method instead, which was easy to do with belt run that's easily accessible. The harness is easy for my 6 year old to use but it's hard to balance because if you pull hard on the other side, there is nothing to stop the other side from being pulled all the way in. UGH: When the kid is not in the car, it rattles SO MUCH. The entire sliding mechanism to adjust the height is just plastic that rattles a lot. I feel like I'm driving with loosely packed bag full of 100s of empty plastic bottles in my car. No matter how good or nice you think your car is, this car seat will succeed in making the interior of your car sound like some beat up 20 year old Camry that's been driven exclusive on unpaved road. Only way to stop it was to have a kid IN the seat. I didn't want to go through the trouble of returning it so I had to take bunch of foam sheets and insert it in between all nooks and crannies to keep it from driving me crazy. So I’m not usually a review writer BUT I kept thinking about the other moms out there that are looking to try to fit 3 car seats in a small backseat. These car seats are perfect, they are truly slim, have two cupholders, are comfy, and I fit 2 of these plus an infant car seat in the backseat of my Nissan Sentra and they fit perfectly, not too tight, and the doors close with ease.
