Installation was easy following the instructions, and once set up, the seats feel really safe and secure. I especially appreciate the small details, like the cup holders (perfect for a sippy cup and a toy) and the extra padding around the neck area—our previous car seats caused a bit of chafing, so this was a big upgrade. The height is great it adjusts to your child as they grow. My honest review of this car seat from a mom of two who is expecting a newborn soon. Pros: It's built VERY well. I would have no problems feeling that my baby will be safe in this car seat. I love that it can be used rear facing, forward facing, and as a booster seat. It has a ton of padding, and I know it will support babies head well. The fabrics seem to come off very easily to wash, but I haven't actually tried that yet! The straps and seat itself are very easy to adjust and once installed properly it is very secure. No movement whatsoever! Just read the instruction and make sure the it is touching the back of the front seat. The back of the car seat extends to make it higher when you're ready to use it as a booster seat. Cons: the biggest problem I'm facing right now with a newborn coming in a few weeks, is that this car seat does NOT detach from the base to be carried around. Now I know I could have figured that out perhaps with enough reading of the other reviews (even though I DID read many) and by the fact there is no handle... But it did not dawn on me at the time. So this car seat may not be suitable for those with very young babies, that you may not want to wake when going to dr's appts, grocery shopping, etc. Aside from that, if you want to rear face and recline (necessary for a newborn), and have a small car (I have a Ford fiesta) this seat may not be ideal. I will lose a lot of legspace in either the driver or passenger seat of my car, depending on where I put it. For these reasons, the hubs and I are looking for an infant car seat to use in the meantime. ... show more
