We recently discovered that the leaves on our bed of croton plants at our central Florida home were turning white. Our landscaper diagnosed the problem as fungus. After unsucessfully trying some remedies found on YouTube, we ordered the Safer fungacide on our Amazon Prime account. It came the next morning, and we sprayed the plants.     • Spray bottle stopped working halfway through
Stinks, but that is to be expected. If you can get it to spray, the solution works. But mine stopped spraying halfway through the bottle.

My ambassador squash had become utterly covered in white fungus while I was out of town. All three fruits on the plant withered to black and half of the leaves had shriveled and died. When I got back, I trimmed off the dead parts and sprayed what remained of my poor plant with the Safer fungicide and hoped for the best. Two days later, most of the white fuzz was gone; there were still a few suspect white spots on some of the leaves, so I re-sprayed those. Two weeks later, my little squash plant has replaced most of the dead leaves and is flowering again! Better yet, it doesn't stink up my entire balcony like some other fungicides out there with more pungent aromas. (It's not scentless, but the smell isn't overpowering or overly offensive.) Highly recommend. I would grant it the 5th star if it were pet-safe: the label warns to keep pets away, which is a bit difficult with my cat and a balcony garden. I just didn't let her go outside at all while the fungicide was still wet and tried to make sure she didn't try to play with the leaves (they dangle and are GREAT cat toys, apparently) for a few days. I have no idea what chemical composition would be necessary to make it pet-safe and if it would still be effective, but my ideal fungicide would be pet-safe. ... show more

    • Problem when shipping liquids.
Like the product--have used it before. Problem was a leaky bottle. Not cracked or visually damaged upon inspection, but leaking anyway. Got contents on hands and clothing. Nozzle on bottle in OFF position. Still not sure why problem occurred. Suggestion--have product wrapped securely in plastic before shipping. BTW, shipping box not damaged. ... show more

Worked like it said . We followed the directions . The plants took off this year and due to the dense growth we got early blight . Live and learned . This turned the problem around and showed it the street. Fungus had tried to take hold and through trimming and this product we had the harvest pictured . All the tomatoes in the pic were not formed yet at the time of the blight and likely we would have had none . Thanks Safer products.
