We use this to keep our dogs out of our pantry, which is where our cats have access to their dry food. It works perfectly. I needed my hub's strong hands to open the latch that lets you adjust the width, but I've got a little arthritis in my hands/was afraid to yank it too hard and break it. I got this so that I could block off my cat bathroom and have the cats be able to go in but the dogs are not. Only thing I didn’t take it to consideration when putting the adhesive on is that I have a fat cat. I got really lucky that he’s still able to fit. That thing does not come off without peeling up paint. Overall, we really like it really easy to use and doesn’t look too terrible.

I will say this is very useful when it came to keeping my dogs out of my room and it’s absolutely sturdy I do want to warn however be careful using the sticky adhesive if you don’t want to screw it in because a hard tug can rip it and the paint completely off and it’s not a good look. Overall tho I got my money’s worth

We purchased one for our laundry door, it allows the cats to get in and out to their litter box. We've since purchased a second for our bedroom door to allow our cats in and out without the dogs going in there too. My only request would be that it could go one or two steps longer so it could allow for our chunky cats to enter and exit too. They're fantastic overall though! We'll likely purchase more as needed too.

So my cat likes to hang out outside during the warm weather (too old and slow to get out of the yard). But is she wants to go in or out she has to go through the dog area (they are fine, but will eat her food if they get upstairs). This works great! Keeps the door open for her the move freely, but keeps the dogs from eating all her food and invading her domain. I used the stick application and was very easy. May not work for large/fat cats, but she is pretty small and narrow. Best part is it holds the open at a set distance. Some of the other holders allowed the door to be accidentally partially or fully closed.
