This mandolin is a bit much and it is large, but the mind ease of not cutting off my fingers while using it is well worth the space it will take up! I like the options for cutting and how easily it is to swap the blades out. This is also easy to fold up to stick in the dishwasher or for storing. It does cut the vegetable all the way down too. Cutting onions was a breeze and it went so quickly my eyes didn't have to be bombarded by onion caused tears! The media could not be loaded. This is the safest mandolin I’ve ever used and it provides good results. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 because the chute is very large and there are no provisions for a smaller one, such as when slicing one carrot or celery stick. I learned it is important to nut the flat side of the celery facing down. The ther reason that contributed to 4 stars instead of 5 is storage. ... show more

    • At last, a safe mandoline
Although I have a regular mandolin, I gave up using it long ago after shredding my knuckles a few times. This new product is great both for shredding vegetables and not shredding my hand. I tried it with cabbage to make coleslaw and was quite pleased with the result. It was very easy to use and quick to chop the whole head of cabbage. I was a little concerned that this would take up a lot of space but it doesn't. It folds up and we put the extra cutters in the container and set it on top. I ran the mandolin through the dishwasher with no problem. This is a dandy product that makes my life a bit easier. ... show more

I love cooking but my knife skills could definitely use some work and sometimes I'm afraid I will cut myself. Enter the mandoline! This works so well and speeds up cook time dramatically. Good quality, exactly as described. I may have had a few accidents with my old mandolin. We may keep bandaids in the same drawer as that. So when I saw this I just had to get it. It is easy to set up and take down and throw in the dishwasher. Works so well, and again so easy use! Love it!

I loved using this product. Once you figure it out, it is really easy to set up and take apart. The blades are very sharp so they cut things nicely. And I have used it mostly for carrots and onions and have been really impressed with the results. The smallest one really chops my onions finely, and I've liked using the one of the bigger one to just quickly cut my carrots into smaller pieces. It's such a timesaver with that. The only downside is washing the thing is more difficult. There are a lot of little nooks and cracks where stuff gets stuck. It came with a little brush to help, and it does, but it still felt kind of time consuming to go through and brush out every little space. Regardless of that though, I do like how fast I can chop things up so I keep using it! ... show more
