Bully romance, bi awakening, enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, hurt/comfort, and jock/jock. This tells the story of Grant and Landon. They first met at 10 years old and Grant hated him at first sight. Grant ended up getting Landon's mother fired and they didn't see each other until 8 years later at school. They're both on the football team and Grant continues to bully him horribly. Sparks fly, fists fly, and the sexual tension is through the roof š„µš„µš„µ. My heart breaks for poor Grant. You can tell he lives with deep-seated trauma and that's why he is the way he is. He self destructs fast and lashes out heavy, but in reality, he's scared and just wants love and to feel safe. Landon is such a protector and fights for those he loves, including Grant. The spicy scenes were š„š„š„š„. The dirty mouth on Landon. I loved the power exchange in their relationship as well. I can't wait for Javi and Declan's book! I need it now. L Waltree is such a phenomenal writer and storyteller. I need more MM books by this author. š

I devoured this in one sitting š this is what I want out of a bully romance. Grant is one of those characters that is tough to swallow at first. Heās extremely cruel and cold but once you get to his very first chapter you know his actions arenāt unjustified in his eyes š Landon is a golden boy who makes it his mission to help those he cares about any way he can. Watching him slowly scale and break down Grantās walls made my heart melt š„¹ when I started this book I wasnāt expecting the dynamic between Landon and Grant to be what it was (especially during their spicy times ā¤ļøš„ā¤ļøš„) but it was so fitting for them and exactly what they needed. I loved the way that everything worked out in this book. āYour soul doesnāt need this. But mine doesā I was SHOOK. I audibly screamed āGO LANDONā He truly is the definition of doing whatever it takes to protect the man he loves. š¤š¤š¤ I fear I need a book on Javi and Declan. I need to know what is going on between those two š¤£

First of all, it's been a hot minute since I finished a book in one sitting. I'm not joking when I say. I. Could. Not. Put. This. Book. Down. I had to sit on this review for a bit to get my thoughts into something coherent. I'm pretty sure I've written and rewritten this review about 8 different times. My brain is a chaotic mess of everything I want to say, but my fingers are not saying it correctly. But here goes... This book is the definition of a bully romance. Do not go into this thinking it's one of those "I tripped you in the hall because I love you" kind of bully romance books. No, no, Grant makes Landon's life awful. You will spend the first 40% of this book hating Grant and rooting for Landon to beat him up. And then, WOW. The last 60% of this book was wild!! Landon, surprised the ever-loving heck out of me and Grant, omg that poor broken boy. I cannot say anything else without giving things away. Go into this book knowing that you are in for one heck of a fun ride! This book was fantastic!!

Iāve been back and forth all day on how I wanted to rate this and honestly because of how involved I am with certain indie authors, part of me felt like I needed to stray from my feelings because I know most indie authors take 3 stars as bad. Iāve decided to stay true to myself as a reader and explain myself. 3 stars isnāt bad. Not to me. It means I liked the book but Iām not part of the people who loved it, and that should be okay. Here are my thoughts. ā¢ This was advertised as a college romance but these kids are 18 and seniors in high schoolā¦. It made me uncomfortable as a 30 year old woman to read it to some degree. ā¢ How is an 18 year old virgin MC all of a sudden the perfect Dom? He only ever experimented with girls and even then that was fooling around. He admitted he had no idea what he was doing but all of a sudden, he āresearchedā videos one night he couldnāt sleep and then all of a sudden he was a pro at f*ngerong, scissoring, and eating the other MC out? I would have enjoyed the scenes a bit more if they were realistic. Letās be real- how many 18 year kids are s*x gods? š¬ ā¢ A HUGE component of this book was Grantās haunting and tragic past. Anyone who has experienced trauma before could see the signs and pretty much guess what it was. This past was pretty much the driving force for his ābullyingā and why he was the way he was. Hereās my issue. I was 85% into the book and the other MC Landon still had NO ideaā¦ it was like this gigantic secret just for the ending to be rushed and have a big, pretty bow wrapped with their ending. The ending left me wanting because Iām sorry, love doesnāt cure all and it all just felt so rushed. Where were both MCās working through this (Landon with the revelation and Grant with his trauma?). It was briefly mentioned at the end that Grant did therapy and is learning to forgive himself but it just gave more of the vibes of Landon is what made Grant better and as someone who has her own personal trauma, love doesnāt just magically cure anything. Skating over that whole ending when the abuse was the main focus didnāt make sense to me and made me feel weird. I feel like if heavy mental health topics are going to be used then we need a bit more realistic with love and HEAās (my own opinion.) ā¢ You expect me to believe an 18 year old kid managed to scrap evidence, clean the g*n and stage a whole suicide with the cops never finding out and he got away with it? ā¢ Labeling this as a bully romance but the bullying ends so early on in the book has me confused. A true bully romance is throughout where we see the growth both emotionally and physically (intimately). They forgave each other pretty early on. This was hard insta-lust with I love youās for no reason other than they had a connection (but as a reader I want to feel that connection.) Iām not saying this book was bad. It had soooooo much potential, but ultimately left me wanting. I am very interested to see and kind of excited to see a Javi and Declan dynamic and maybe even a Danny and Simmons (?). This is honestly just my feedback on a good book and I mean no offense. I just wished for more.

Iāve been hearing so many good things about this, and it definitely lived up to the hype for me. Went beyond it honestly. Be sure to mind your triggers with this one. Iāll preface this by saying you will probably hate Grant. His actions toe the line at times. But I found myself understanding him as the story unfolded. Things started clicking and making sense and I saw him in a whole new light. Grant is a complex character who broke my heart as his layers were peeled back. Landonās life has been tough everyday. Having to care for his siblings as their mom tries to bring in money. He has so much riding on his shoulders, but I love that he still stays positive. He has a natural light in him that draws in others. Heās such a beautiful character. The dynamic between Grant and Landon worked and fit them. The tension was so delicious, it reminded me of why I loved bully romance. Very excited for Javi and Declanās story. And I spied a possible third couple that Iām hoping comes true. Canāt wait to dive more into this world.

Wowā¦.once I started this book I couldnāt put it down!! In fact I read it in one day!!! It was so so good!!! Landon was just exactly what Grant needed even though he didnāt know it right away. Those two were just perfect together!! Off to read the next book!!!
