based off the pictures i was expecting something mostly red, gold, white, and black which would match the room it was meant to go in and would have looked really nice. however in person the rug has a large amount of pink and green specs and the colors overall are just very loud and dont fit the antiqued design at all. i was very surprised to find that only one review for this rug mentions the off colors at all, particularly the pink, as it seems completely needlessly speckled throughout the entirety of the rug and make it look cheap and ugly

Sooo much better than expected! I had an antique Persian rug that my two cats (see photo) would simply not leave alone with their scratching claws...( it must have had a hidden peculiar animal scent to them that was undetectable to me) so I took it up thinking I would replace it with a nice inexpensive one which I ordered from Amazon. But I love this one even better... and guess what? No smells to attract my kitties' claws either! It's so plush, beautiful, luxurious, rich, and extremely well made. I cannot believe the price for such an elegant rug. I've got my spray bottle of water handy in case my cats try such a thing again. This rug is absolutely the best ever! Woo Hoo!!!

We were looking for quite some time for an area rug for our library. We knew we didn't want wool as the 3 dogs ,in and out all day, sometimes wet, etc. would eventually just ruin it & smell of dog. Still, the thought of a synthetic rug was a turnoff. But! After reading so many positive reviews and loving the look of this area rug as well as the thickness, etc. we took a chance. This area rug is amazing! It looks exquisite on our wood floor and is the softest rug ever. The price? What a deal! It looks like an expensive & very plush rug. Buy it! You won't be sorry!

For this price the rugs are incredible! I got 5 for almost all my rooms. They are warm, soft to the feet and look amazing! I had real Oriental rugs but my dog is allergic to wool so I had to remove them and was soooo sad....that is until I got these which look just like (almost) real. I love them and so does my dog :) PS if you like the electric fireplace its Dimplex on Amazon :)

I wish I would have read product description more closely. This rug looks like a passable faux distressed oriental rug in pictures. In person, it’s kind of the rug design equivalent of those very obviously fake distressed jeans that are only distressed by painting 3 lines of bleach on each of the knees. You know how you can get rugs for kids with stuff printed on them like cute animals? This is the same concept, except they printed “ancient-carpet-design.png” instead of a tiger. On the plus side, it feels nice to lay on and it’s easy to vacuum :)

We LOVE this rug. It’s soft, beautiful, and great for a house with a small kid and dogs since the colors don’t show dirt easily. I think one of our dogs has become fairly attached to this rug actually lol. Can’t beat the price of Safavieh rugs, either!

The rug is absolutely gorgeous, plush, and soft. For those who have an interest in this rug, please rest assured in purchasing it. Unfortunately, I had to return it. I spent so many hours looking, and upon first sight, I thought this was 'the one,' but alas. I fought with it trying to make it work. In the end, it just didn't fulfill that emotion of 'THIS IS THE ONE.' With sadness, I sent it back as it was just a bad decision.

This is a beautiful rug & excellent value for the money! The quality is excellent and arrived very well packaged. Our only complaint is the colors were not exactly as vibrant as expected; specifically, the golden/yellow shades were very muted and not at all as advertised. We were going to send it back, but after speaking w an Amazon rep it seemed like way more of a hassle, so opted not to.
