Sorry for the bad picture quality, and for my boyfriend's thousand yard stare. He just looks like that. I was hopeful about this rug based on Safavieh's reputation, and somehow it still exceeded my expectations. It arrived very quickly, and rolled up (not folded as I've heard happens sometimes). I rolled it out last night and with the exception of the last couple inches along the edge, it immediately lays flat. Mild "new rug" smell but nothing too strong or chemical. It's very soft, thick, and plush. I admit I didn't actually measure the room before ordering the 6'7"x9 (because who has time for that kind of basic and commonsense pre-planning), so this thing was way bigger than I pictured, but I'm not bothered at all. If you, unlike me, are not an impulsive rug-buyer and actually do your homework (or have a basic ability to imagine scales of objects) then it won't be a surprise to you. The thing I was most worried about was the look of it--I doubted that one of these plush "faux oriental" rugs with faux distressing/antiquing was really a suitable alternative to the real thing. But it is! You really don't notice that it's not a "real" oriental rug until you're on top of it, and by that point the softness has won you over enough that you don't care. And the pattern is lovely! Looks just like the picture in my estimation, no brighter or duller. No comment on durability yet, so I'll update if it starts falling apart, but I agree with other reviewers that it certainly feels high quality. I feel sort of silly for ever thinking that a 50% off rug from World Market was ever a good deal. THIS is a deal.

LOVE THIS RUG!! Not sure what others were referring to when they said it looked “cheap” because I feel the opposite. This rug adds so much pop to my kitchen and is very well made. And you can’t beat the price. I would definitely purchase again. Glad I took a chance and didn’t listen to the naysayers!

New rug in basement. Thanks to neighbor Barry for bringing it downstairs, opening the package and arranging it on my old rug pad. For a spontaneous act of suddenly wanting a nice rug after having a remnant for almost 24 years, I love the rug. It was a challenge finding a bright enough red to go with the red sofa cushion Nita sewed for me a few years ago. I looked at many rugs on Amazon and Wayfair before choosing this one. My only problem was it was very heavy and I had trouble dragging it into my house and pushing it down the stairs. So I waited for a neighbor to help me and he didn’t have any difficulty doing it. I read so many reviews that I don’t remember if anyone had complained about the smell or curling of this one. In any case it had absolutely no smell and is laying flat nicely. I did keep an old foam rug pad under it. So it’s probably not the softest or most plush I could have bought but it’s perfect for my needs of sprucing up a basement.

I bought this in a 4x6 size to go in my bathroom, but I wish they had a 3x5 size of this design because the 4x6 was a little too big for the space. Liked the rug and would have kept it otherwise, and would have just dealt with the cons listed below (maybe I’m the only one that noticed or cared about them anyway) because it was a cute rug and great value. Pros: • Great value for the cost of the rug. • Beautiful red color throughout. Fit the vibe I wanted and matched my dark wood cabinets. I liked that the colors were so vibrant. Cons: • Up close, some of the “tan” areas are actually vomit colored threads, like an unpleasant green thread next to a pink thread next to a white thread, but far away it looks tan. I just tried not to look too closely at it haha. • Design is squished into the wrong size canvas (symmetry of elements in rug): Maybe you can’t tell very well in pictures, and maybe this is a thing no one cares about but me, but the rug design looks like it was made to fit certain dimensions, and then the makers of the rug just stretched the old design file to now fit a 4x6 canvas without redrawing the design to new dimensions. Example: the two tan “star” ish shapes that are the main focal points of the rug are not the same length on all sides (like a circle), they’re shorter on on two sides (like an oval), so it looks like a star that got squished. Like I said, in pictures you maybe can’t really tell, but when I unrolled it, that was the first thing I noticed. Looks like someone just took one side of the design and stretched it, and now the rug design looks off. I would have expected them to be an equally symmetrical circle shape since all the shapes around the edge are circle shapes, but instead you have a bunch of circles with two squished ovals and a squished box in the middle. If that doesn’t bother you, then this rug is perfect! (Like I said I would have kept it, cons notwithstanding, but it didn’t fit the space.)

I'd originally bought it for the kitchen, but changed my mind and placed it in the bathroom. It looks fantastic! This exact pattern and size I'd been monitoring online all over the place, but was waiting for the lowest price I guess, and/or when "the time was right." Well, I "snoozed" too long...bc when I was finally ready to buy, the pattern all but disappeared from the internet. I was out of luck--or so I thought till I found it on Amazon (for just a few $$ more than it would have cost elsewhere, back in 2019). So glad I was lucky enough to find what I wanted exactly. The rug really dresses up a room. It's vibrant, yet warm and welcoming too. Great purchase!

I was a little unsure about this rug based off reviews. But it’s the perfect accent in my entry way! I get many compliments on it and it’s has been very easy to clean. It still looks as good as the day it came in a few months ago and I’d say that’s pretty good for being in a high traffic area! I love it! Worth it for sure.
