Features

  • [COLOR & DESIGN]: SAFAVIEH's Natural Fiber rug borders a woven cream sisal field; its 3/8" pile is firm and textural in a living room; color and pattern contrast may look different in person, and shade can vary depending on lighting and screen settings.
  • [WOVEN JUTE BLEND]: Power-loomed from sisal at a 3/8" weave, a dense plant fiber that resists crushing through high-traffic areas, wearing well in an entryway, hallway, home office or foyer.
  • [EASY CARE]: Shake out or sweep with a soft broom, and blot spills immediately with a dry cloth; sisal should never be vacuumed or wet-cleaned.
  • [WHAT TO EXPECT]: Some shedding is normal at first and settles. Trim loose fiber flush with scissors rather than pulling it, which draws the weave. Sisal darkens where it meets moisture, so blot spills at once. A SAFAVIEH rug pad is recommended.
  • [TRUSTED BRAND]: For over a century, SAFAVIEH has been synonymous with exceptional quality and timeless design, a legacy carried through four generations. From New York, we offer rugs, furniture, lighting, and decor to help you design a space you love.

Description

The SAFAVIEH Natural Fiber 525 collection weaves sisal into a bordered field in cream, a coastal modern rug that gets its character from the fiber rather than a pattern. Each piece is power-loomed at a 3/8" weave, firm and textural underfoot and low enough to clear a door. Sisal is among the hardest wearing plant fibers, but it is a flat weave: sweep rather than vacuum, and blot spills at once because the fiber darkens where it meets moisture. Natural Fiber 525 suits a living room, bedroom or dining room over wood or tile.

    • Has withstood the test of time against wearing or staining, even with 3 dogs in the house!

This is a beautiful natural fiber carpet that compliments my sunroom perfectly, especially against the dark floor. I love that it has a rubber backing sewn right into it, so no need for anything else underneath it. This has withstood the test of time against wearing or staining, even with 3 dogs in the house! ... show more

    • Great Area Rug; Great Price
Size: 8 ft x 11 ft Item Shape: Rectangular Color: Marble
I was pleasantly surprised with this area rug. We needed an 8'x11' area rug that wasn't too expensive and this one was the perfect price. We were looking for something a little more traditional but decided on this one due to it's size and it's ability to go with almost anything. When we received it it was wound so tightly that I thought they had shipped the wrong size. We opened it up thinking we would have to repack and return it but found that it was the rug we ordered. We were concerned that the rug would roll on the edges because of being packed so tightly but once we had it positioned, it was perfectly flat. There was not a powerful "new carpet" smell, just a bit of an odor which didn't seem to be there the morning after we placed it. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this carpet again. ... show more

    • Cream=pale yellow
The rug is basically exactly as described and I had no issues with odor. It seems sturdy and I like that it has a no-slip backing that feels pretty stable. My only disappointment is the color. While it is technically “cream,” it looks more like a pale yellow, almost like it was tinted “cream.” The colors in the pics and my experience with sisal/natural fiber rugs led me to assume the color cream wouldn’t be so vibrant, but it is. I am keeping it only because the hassle to try and prepare this rug for return feels overwhelming. I wish now I had purchased the “marble” color, which sounds like a more natural tone. ... show more

    • Strong, long lasting smell
Update: We threw both of the rugs out. The one was set outside for a week to try and get the smell out, it didn't work and the rug faded to the point of it being unusable. The second rug had a smell over a month later and I didn't want to smell that every time I walked in my house. These have a STRONG odor. We have had these for a few weeks and put one on our stairs, the other I put outside a week ago to try and air it out before setting up as you smell them when you walk in my house and they both still smell really strong. The look is very nice and it seems durable, I have heard my cat scratching on it but can't see where she does it. It doesn't feel good on bare feet but feels secure as a grip down laminate stairs ... show more

    • Beautiful, durable, functional... Beware of chemical odor
Size: 4 ft x 6 ft Item Shape: Rectangular Color: Natural
This is a really nice heavy weight rug, comparable to potterybarn style. I placed it in our mudroom where there is high traffic and it has performed perfectly, taking everyday wear and tear from kids running in from our garage area. It's a little rough, but the more it's walked upon, the softer it gets over time.Great for an entryway where you are wearing shoes anyway. The rug is attractive, durable and functional. The back of the rug is covered in a non-slip coating, which works quite well with the high traffic and stays in place. The only caveat is the initial chemical smell. For us, we are just passing through our mudroom, but I would be Leary of the smell if it were placed in a room where you were going to be breathing the chemical smell for prolonged periods of time. Not sure if it is the rug or the rug backing. It does start to go away after a while, but beware if you are sensitive to odors. You might need to leave it out in a garage to air out for a while. This is the only reason O gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase and would buy it again. ... show more

    • Excellent textured rug

This is a large nub rug. The “nubs” are a lot larger than they appear in the photos. I was not expecting that but, I love it! Just know what you’re getting. It adds such texture to the room. Also, the color is more cream than tan but again I love the richness of the color. Good sturdy rug for the money. Any curling from shipping settled flat very well. ... show more

I bought this runner for my brand new kitchen and I absolutely love it! It’s exactly as shown in the photo. It’s soft and comfortable to walk on and since I’ve never had to clean it I don’t know much about how it cleans up but it certainly looks beautiful and adds a touch of class to my kitchen

    • Back for a Second Time!
I bought this rug three years ago and liked it very much but decided to try a replacement natural fiber rug without a cloth edging. Henceforth I have purchased two others and immediately returned them due to substandard materials, bad weave patterns, and crooked edges and corners. I ordered this rug again with the marble edging and could not be happier. Never should’ve wasted my time and energy looking for a different replacement. There is a nice rubberized backing, the material and weave is very nice, it required no trimming or attention, flattened out right away (after reverse rolling) and the edges were clean and even. I have no hesitation in recommending this product since I am a two time winner. ... show more
