The title truly says it all. After an extensive search of over 100 rugs I found this one but I was looking for something more affordable for my high traffic living room. I purchased one off of a different website and when I got it it was just OK but I always had this one in my heart. I finally decided to return that rug and buy this one and I couldn't be happier. Like the other reviews have stated there is a very very strong smell that is quite arduous to get rid of but not impossible. I was a little skeptical of the pile as it is stated to be 2 inches but as soon as I got it out of the package I was in love. The thickness of the pile, that is nearly 2" by the way, coupled with the low pile areas make this rug look like an art piece in my home and my guests are always fixated on it. I do not have an issue when vacuuming because my vacuum has two speeds for the beater so the carpet doesn't get tangled up in it, although I do have to keep moving it so the vacuum doesn't mutilate the shag. One aspect that pulls at my OCD is that the white fluffy portion of the carpet looks different when it is vacuumed front to back compared to when it is vacuumed back to front. One way makes it look bright white and then the other way makes it look off-white. I don't mind that though as that will happen with every rug it just has to be vacuumed a specific way. One last piece of advice is that, if possible, let the rug air out in a garage or covered space outside for a couple of days before you set it in your space to help with the smell. That is definitely not a dealbreaker though!

So I gave 4 stars because it seems as if the carpet isn’t true to size. My mom has an 7ft - 10in carpet that is an inch taller than my 8ft. That doesn’t add up. Another problem I have is the strong smell. This carpet STINKS! I sprayed some glade on the carpet and my Victoria Secret perfume. I disliked wasting my VS,but the smell was getting to me. Hopefully with time it goes away. The carpet will try folding back up once you unfold it so be sure to place something heavy on top. (For those who don’t know). For now I only have my flower pot so flattening the ends are frustrating but not too bad. The carpet does bring my furniture out and compliments my room. I love how the color is dead on in the carpet. The softness is at a medium and the carpet is more on the flat side. It’s not a bad carpet but for the price I figured it was going to be better. Just buy the carpet and see for yourself.

Great addition to my living room set up. I like sitting on the floor and this carpet is super soft. It unfurled from the roll pretty easily. Only the corners took a day or so to flatten out which I expected. It did have that rug/chemical smell. I had to leave the windows open for 3 or 4 days to air it out so maybe don't buy in the winter time lol. I've ran my vacuum over it with no issues as well.

I have had this Ivory/brown rug for almost half a year now. The colors are just like the picture and love the texture. I was a little worried that it would be too light and get dirty. It gets pretty heavy traffic where I have it in my house, but it’s held up very well! I have had to scrub some dirty spot off with a rug but it didn’t stain and was easy enough to clean. It’s nice and thick and pretty soft. Really add to my living room and makes it cozy! I would recommend this rug to anyone. Great quality for the price! Only thing was it did take it a while to wear down the wrinkles from it being rolled up from shipping, but not a big deal, it looks great now.

Pros: - Beautiful design - Super soft - Good quality for the price - The texture is fun & makes the rug stand out Cons: - Do not recommend for high traffic areas - Rug must be vacuumed on hardwood setting or with hose attachments to avoid damage. - Initial smell takes a very long time to dissipate. I’ve tried everything I can think of and a couple weeks later it’s still lingering. I suggest letting the rug air out a few days before placing furniture on top of it.

Everyone that comes to visit likes it. Only got it bc it was on sale. Not sure how it’ll hold up to cleaning. Few snags on it when I unraveled but hard to tell from distance. Biggest CON is that it is still off gassing and it’s been several months now x_x

This is a very nice rug, even prettier than the pictures. I'm not sure why reviews say it stinks. It does not stink but it has a very strong new smell that I find nice. I'm sure it will subside in time.
