I was worried when first opening this due to the fabric having a lot of shine in it - but when laid out flat it looks really good and not too "glam". Just keep it in mind that it's not a matte shag it's more like a glossy velvet feel and look. Depending on your other furniture that may work. I did see its original RRP (via overstock's safavieh section) is $6690 so it's an expensive rug at a great reduced price. It definitely does look expensive. It's also not a toxic fabric, which is something I was after (most rugs in this price range are made of polypropylene). I'd give it 5 stars if they had better examples in the product photos - simply bc that detail with the shine is not obvious until you have received the actual rug in person. ... show more
