This is a nice-quality rug! Fibers are dense and very soft and rug has an overall hefty feel to it. So many times, you need the rug pad to provide extra support. Here, you'd only need it to potentially prevent it from shifting. Picture on website was accurate. It is well packaged in thick plastic, and ROLLED, not folded! It quickly relaxes under its own weight when set in place. Don’t be fooled by the complaints of a ‘smell’ when opened, it smells like a new carpet!
