I bought this rug as a test for the colors because we needed a big one but I didn't want to hassle with a return if it wasn't what I wanted. This small rug came and I love the colors. They were what I was hoping for with the red a true deep red rather than a burgundy. I know I was always wondering about colors looking at rugs online because they seldom look as pictured. But this one worked and it's also a nice thick wool. I've gotten Safavieh rugs before years ago and I still have them. For me they are very durable and still look good. There is always a bit of shedding with wool rugs but it does calm down. Just don't use the beater bar on the vacuum. I went ahead and ordered the big one and it's gorgeous! ... show more

This rug is every bit as gorgeous as the pictures portrayed !! I sat on the fence for months, reading the reviews, and I have to say that the happy buyers use vacuums without a beater brush. I did my research online and found where it said Never Use a vacuum with a beater brush on wool rugs !! It just riles up the pile to extract all that fuzz. And it does that each and every time you vacuum !! Using a suction-only vacuum gets the dirt out and doesn't upset the pile. Result: happy rug, happy owner. Took a leap on a 9'x12' and was happily rewarded with a fine rug that pulls my whole living room together. The colors in the listing are very accurate and perfectly match my tan couch, brown chairs, blue drapes, green walls and walnut wood furnishings. No issues with the folded rug, just follow instructions and it lays down nice and flat. Shipping with Prime was less than $19 to Hawaii for an eighty pound rug. Rug is plush enough that I decided to not use the thick pad like I had under my old rug. I have another rug in my study that is long in the tooth and showing its battle scars from my kids' artistic tendencies and I will be replacing it with another Safavieh rug shortly. ... show more

9x12 Grey and Navy. This is my third rug from this company. It's heavy. You do not need a pad. The colors are a bit off from the pics but I will simply swap out a couple of pillow covers and be good to go. I'm never dissapointed. Here's a pic. I got the navy and grey. The navy goes ok with black it's very dark. There is not a bad smell. I have asthma and barely had a reaction. Im pleased with a natural fiber rug in my home.
