I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon and rarely write a review but these rugs are so pretty that I thought others might like to know. It can be hard to buy something like this without seeing it first-hand but I am so glad that I did this time because I love these rugs so far. They are beautiful! I bought the 8 ft x 30 inch runner plus the small one for my kitchen (I received the 4 ft one instead of the smaller 2 ft 6 inch one shown here). They changed the look of the whole room. I have white cabinets and white ceramic floor and I looked for a LONG time for just the right rugs. The Safavieh Chelsea Black & Ivory Hand Hooked Rugs are gorgeous with all my white. I have some dark red in my curtains and it all looks perfect together, though the rugs would go well with almost any color you want to put with them. In the summer I like to use white linen curtains and I can tell these are going to be perfect with those too! The ivory is more of an off-white to me than ivory (it's not at all yellowish) and it's really pretty with the bold black. They seem much bigger than I imagined and the quality looks very good, nice, sturdy, thick, heavy hooked rugs. I haven't had them long enough to say how well they will hold up but I don't foresee any problems as they seem to be very well made. Have always loved and depended upon this brand for quality, durability, choice of sizes for fitting the space designated, black and white color is perfect with always long time value for my $ spent! LOVE this black and white pop for my 1/2 bath that visitors use!

First off for context, I bought this rug once in 2015, from Wayfair. Same exact rug. In 2015 it cost about $700, 8x10 foot. It was a ripoff at that price because, while artfully crafted, there were many aspects that were not fine tuned; Much of the tooling was imperfect, incongruent, missing stitches, etc. Additionally the rug felt 'dry'. This rug is the same exact design, slightly higher quality fabric, but the same issues remain – It arrived with small patches of missing yarn with exposed mat underneath... But those blemishes are really hardly noticeable. In general it's eye-popping and fits the room well. For 'perfect', you pay $1000+. This is close enough to perfect for me and it is a great value at $350, half the cost it sold at in 2015. I'm glad this pattern & style is available because, despite its imperfections, it is the best harlequin/checkerboard rug on the market ... show more
