I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon and rarely write a review but these rugs are so pretty that I thought others might like to know. It can be hard to buy something like this without seeing it first-hand but I am so glad that I did this time because I love these rugs so far. They are beautiful! I bought the 8 ft x 30 inch runner plus the small one for my kitchen (I received the 4 ft one instead of the smaller 2 ft 6 inch one shown here). They changed the look of the whole room. I have white cabinets and white ceramic floor and I looked for a LONG time for just the right rugs. The Safavieh Chelsea Black & Ivory Hand Hooked Rugs are gorgeous with all my white. I have some dark red in my curtains and it all looks perfect together, though the rugs would go well with almost any color you want to put with them. In the summer I like to use white linen curtains and I can tell these are going to be perfect with those too! The ivory is more of an off-white to me than ivory (it's not at all yellowish) and it's really pretty with the bold black. They seem much bigger than I imagined and the quality looks very good, nice, sturdy, thick, heavy hooked rugs. I haven't had them long enough to say how well they will hold up but I don't foresee any problems as they seem to be very well made. Before you order this rug, make sure you know it is NOT bound around the edges which is very disappointing and makes the rug look cheap and it will not last and will definitely start unraveling. I will have to return it. I would have kept it otherwise.
