Carpet is not as thick as 3/4" I'd say it's 1/4" think so buy the thicker under pad 1/2 "or more to go the softness .Beautiful look could be thicker though

Thin but pretty rug! I hate how they ship it though ! Was rolled and folded! Had so many creases โ€ฆ sat for an hr with a wet towel and iron and ironed them out and it worked great! So if you have the time to spend buy it! For the price it was an excellent deal
