I did not have any issues with it laying flat like some others have said. It was flat within an hour or two of unrolling it. The rug matched the description perfectly I would recommend to a friend. It’s very soft and easy to clean. It took about 2 days for the rug to lay completely flat after unwrapping it from the plastic. I read other reviews about a chemical smell but I never got that. My only issue is a small stain that was on the rug when I got it but other then that it’s great. ... show more

I gave this a full 2 months before reviewing. The Piece is beautiful but the only issue is there is always a side that won’t lay flat. Tried putting heavy items on it for day, it doesn’t help.

If you're thinking about getting this rug then just do it! It looks so much better than the pictures. The quality is excellent! ** Tip** This rug comes rolled up with protector at the ends. We turned it upside down and walked on it (especially walked around the outer edges). Once we flipped it back over there was minimal creases. 3 days later and it's now completely flat! I have not had any stains and the rug was placed in a brand new house. All I can comment on at this time is the appearance. The rug looks better than the picture, beautiful pattern and looks great in my living room. It coordinated perfectly with my color theme. I would recommend this rug. I got this in the 16' length. I was nervous about how I'd feel about it in person since the photos are of a shorter length but I'm really pleased with how it looks in the length I got. It is comfortable to walk on, not too soft, not too stiff/scratchy. I got some carpet tape to secure the edges and middle so it wouldn't slide around (I have two crazy cats and they can move it if they get their zoomies started just right on those three locations). The only thing that is disappointing is that it has a slight curve to it. I laid it flat and put some weights on the ends to flatten them and let it breathe for a week before securing it down. To secure it I squared off one end to make sure it would be straight. I gently pulled on it at the middle to secure that down...no problems yet. Then I got to the opposite end and gave it a gentle tug to make sure it was flat...from the middle to this end of it there is about a one inch curve in the rug. It isn't obvious until you secure it to the floor with tape because the carpet still had a bit of lift from being rolled (hard to get it totally flat when it's that long). So it's perfectly centered at one end of the hall...but the corner touches the baseboard at the opposite end of the hall. It isn't immediately noticeable and doesn't bother me enough to return it, but it is annoying all the same. The curve aside, I am really happy with this rug. ... show more
