I'm coming from a MUCH larger Smittybilt GEN2 XL to these much smaller clamshells and I must say, I don't miss the SB. Topoak's ease of set up and teardown is amazing. Below will be a slightly different review because I have now used both the Galaxy Pro and Stellar (Galaxy 2). Here's what I found.. They're both amazing tents. Although I had a couple issues with my Pro (customer service rocked and fixed the situation asap). I think the 2 cater to different builds. The Pros large, extruding rain fly will cater to more fair weather (lower cross winds) campers. It allowed for a fast set up and lots of rain protection while having ALL the doors open but the big fly didn't appreciate heavy winds coming straight from the rear. It only requires 2 rain fly poles to get great coverage but if you have an elevated awning like in my Pic, you won't be using the other side of your rain fly without getting creative. The side openings are bigger than the 2.0, which gives a better view but in doing so, sacrifices a couple pockets on the sides. Both sides of the rain fly need to be deployed to complete the deployment of the tent. The stellar (galaxy 2) has smaller side openings which translates to a smaller view (not small but smaller). A few more pockets than the pro, and the rain flys can stay rolled up on both sides which means lifted awnings aren't an issue and faster set up than the pro (by 30-60 sec). You do lose the main door rain fly, which will limit keeping the big door open during sideways rain but the gusty wind coming straight from the rear won't be battering the tent all night. In the end, I settled on the Stellar due to not requiring rain fly deployment which conflicted with my elevated awning (see pic) and it's rain fly simplicity which allows for more violent winds, but I'll miss aspects of that big rainfly on the Pro. I'd also like give a big shout out to their customer service, they don't play and show that they firmly stand behind their product.

I’ve taken this tent on multiple weekend trips, and it’s been a solid choice. Setup is quick with the pop-up mechanism, and packing it away is just as easy. The mattress is comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep, and the ventilation keeps it from feeling stuffy. Definitely a great option for regular campers.
