I love this rug. It is the perfect pattern and color combination, wonderful weave and yarn quality (love that little bit of wool in it), and it is quality constructed. Safavieh is my go-to rug company...you can always trust their attention to detail and excellent manufacturing and shipping standards. Several of the reviews I had read before finally pulling the trigger on this rug complained about shedding and fuzzy residue after a few weeks. So I turn off the roller brush on my vacuum when cleaning this rug, and only use the suction feature of the vacuum. I've had the rug for a couple of months so far, have vacuumed it regularly, and it looks and feels just like the day I rolled it out on my floor. I have two dogs who run through the area regularly, and see no wear from them, either. I would definitely buy this rug again, and am so glad I paid attention to the reviews on how to clean it properly.

We’ve had this rug for about 4 months. When we first bought it I was THRILLED. It was beautiful, plush and soft under foot and was the perfect color with a subtle pattern. I saw the review about the excessive “shedding” and assumed it was a default in that one rug. All wool rugs shed for a while, right?! I am so incredibly disappointed with this rug, and the fact that we are already looking for a replacement. It isn’t “shedding” instead the actual fibers are completely unraveling and creating the look of a cloudy haze on top of the entire rug which looks terrible and makes it extremely hard to vacuum the fibers literally wrap about the roller head in the vacuum, things get stuck under the fuzz adding to the yuck. I’ve even attempted to take scissors to the fuzz to extend the life of it just a bit longer. Buyer beware, if you plan to walk on or occasionally vacuum this rug, choose something else.

I purchased this for my husband’s newly designed office. I love the thickness of this rug, the faint plaid pattern, and the colors work perfectly. Originally I chose the 8x8 (pictured), but will be returning and am waiting on the 8x10 to be shipped tomorrow to fill the office’s space more since we love it so much. Some reviews say it doesn’t hold up in high traffic areas, and if that’s true, I think it will be fine in a one-person office where the desk takes up most of the rug’s space or a living room that isn’t used daily.

We've only had this for a short time and love it. The colors are perfect, thickness is great, and it seems to be a high quality area rug. I was a bit reluctant to order due to some of the reviews stating the odor and creases. We didn't have any odors at all. The pilling or "shedding" reported didn't concern me because the rug is wool, and wool pills. You have to be okay with that. The pilling has been very minimal. Nothing that we even notice. There are a few creases, but that's to be expected since it's been rolled up. I expect them to relax. The company includes a note regarding some of the common concerns which are helpful. As you can see in my photos, the colors vary from other photos posted. Overall, I'm very happy with the rug!

I love this rug! It is beautiful and soft. The color is true as specified and it is a great value. HOWEVER, I am disappointed. The packaging was damaged but more importantly, the rug is used and dirty. It has sand and dirt all over it. It was folded with the moisture absorbing packets thrown in and it smells and looks used.

I’ve had this rug for about 2 months now. It’s beautiful and exactly the look I was going for, however, it’s already starting to unravel and Frey pretty badly. This isn’t an area that used often so I was a little surprised to see it coming apart. It’s fuzzy in spots and it looks much older than it is. Sadly, this was my favorite rug in our home.

The 8 x 10 Camel/black I purchased is very soft. However, it smells awful. I am hoping this will go away soon! As I have pets, I was looking for a rug that had a tight weave (which it does have) and was all wool or a mix of wool and Viscose for cleaning purposes as well as to avoid the shedding that normally comes with 100% wool rugs. The product description says 100% wool in one part and wool and viscose in another. Very confusing! The rug is actually only 20% wool/40% viscose/40% polyester. Total bummer. It does not actually measure 8 x 10. It is 7.7 x 10. Living in a very small home it is crucial to have the exact measurements for anything. I have lay out constraints, so the missing inches are dearly missed as this rug does not fit exactly as expected and effects the function of the room. I will probably try this one in another room and order something different for the room I planned to have it in because returning this thing would be a real pain in the neck. Overall, the rug seems to be of good quality, and I do love the way its feels on my feet. It is very heavy! The color is nice but not as rich as I would like. And the smell is very bad. From a design point of view, I think this rug would be best in a room that has a lot of coverage by furniture (like under a bed). It has a very "harsh" pattern so looking at it on its own it definitely takes over the room instead of blending in. it seems to be competing with all my furniture.

This rug is beautiful! The perfect thickness and it looks very high end for a reasonable price. The perfect mix of tones to match grey and beige, it tied together some black cabinets I selected with my mid tone brown floors. Just love it.
