I have been looking for a sea salt spray to add to my collection of hair products and I’m glad I decided to purchase this one. Firstly it does what it supposed to do as it gives that texture and volume I was looking for. Secondly my hair doesn’t look or feel dry after applying the product. Lastly it has a killer smell. Raise your hand if you've gotten a haircut, and afterwards, your hair stylist recommends you get products a, b, and c. Blinded by the halo of a good blowout, you succumb to whatever will sustain that newfound sense of confidence only to find that after day two, products a/b/c yield dismal results. Don't blame yourself! We've all been a victim (sadly, more than once). My very-expensive-difficult-to-refuse-handsome stylist *suggested I use this. NEVER! I refuse to have another 3/4-full bottle take up crucial bathroom real estate. That is--until day 3 when my hair looked as thick as it did after the blow-out. Call me lazy or Sachajuan highly efficient, but I didn't comb once in those 3 days. Brazilians, who? My observations: 1. My normally fine and limp hair had OOmpf. Will it transform hair into Cindy Crawford's mane? No. You need extensions for that. 2. Before I purchased this, I gave Philip B. Maui Wowie a test run--noticeably stickier, the scent equally as unappealing, and within 15 minutes, my hair decided to fall back to its natural (ahem, limp) state. Seriously guys, "Maui Wowie"--delusions of obtaining Barbie hair and a babe named Ken died at the age 6. 3. The trick--spray the roots, but sections at a time. 4. Sometimes when I'm feeling fancy, I like to change up my natural part. This does a great job of holding it in place. However, if you're going for grease lightening, this stuff can't sustain that altitude. There's something called WAX for that kind of sculpting. This is the one and only time I'll admit my stylist had my hair's best interest in mind.

Good product overall. For a salt spray it has the right balance of hold vs natural look. The sent is a little too strong and more feminine than I prefer. It’s a pleasant fragrance just not as masculine or gender neutral as I think most men would like.

I have a natural wave, but i find this product really does the job. Especially since i live in AZ where there's no humidity. I've only used Beach Babe to compare it, & in my home state Ocean Mist is the better product. I would definitely apply it while your hair is wet. I tried it on dry, & looked great, but was sticky. Also, it seems as if you need to apply a lot at first, but I'd recommend being patient & apply it sparingly as it seems to take a minute to do it's stuff.

I love my hair at the beach and this gives me that same texture. I am extremely picky about scents, I won't wear 99% I try and yet this, I even kinda like plus it goes away anyway after a second, its very mild. When my hair is still a little wet or even getting dry, I spray this on my roots and then 2-3 sprays everywhere else. Scrunch and it gives my baby fine hair a lot of texture and it stays. I used to use volume mousse before blow drying but this is the only hair styling product ive used for a couple years now. I spray it on my dry hair too. I buy 4 at a time now!

I give it a 3 overall cause it did not necessarily texturize my hair like I expected it to. It's also not really a thickener. If you want that you'll have to find a foaming product. The feel of it is more like beach sweat which isn't always bad just depends on the occasion and most of mine did not work well with beach sweat hair. If you combine this with outer thickening products and maybe a paste texturizer this works well to dilute other texturizers and make them more manageable.

This smells wonderful and leaves a nice texture within your hair. My hair is shoulder-length and straight with medium-thick thickness. You really should not use too much of this product at a time, as if you spray in too much, it can weight your hair down and make it look greasy. I prefer using this on dry hair and scrunching it through the lengths for some extra texture. This 5 oz bottle will last me a very long time!
