I've had this bike for 5 months, put 1100 miles on it. Still riding strong with no major issues. I did my reseach on ebikes and this is the best I found for under $2k other than the S6, which was out of stock at the time. About 200 miles in, the front motor started making weird noises, reducing speed. I reached out to Amyet and they quickly sent me a new wheel, and I haven't had any issues since. I did have a flat, so I swapped both inner tubes for thicker ones. The brake pads lasted me 1k miles of heavy use before they needed replacement. The rear tire became worn 1k miles in, so I am waiting for a new one to arrive. Pros: - AWD is great, bike eats any hill for breakfast. - Battery gets me 20-25 miles on a charge, up and down steep hills. If you need more battery, get the S6, which has double the battery. - Overall frame seems pretty durable, not a flimsy bike for sure. - Rear dual shocks actually perform well off road, and I'm a mountain biker so I know what good shocks feel like. - The brakes work very well and there is a knob on the levers that make them adjustable on the fly. I have no issues braking even down steep hills. Cons: - Fork is lacking in performance compared to the shocks. I couldn't find any better options anywhere for that size, which is probably why. - There's not enough weight over the front motor, so if you try to accelerate with both from a stop the front wheel does a burnout. I either accelerate to 10-12mph before switching on the front motor or stand up on the bike and it works fine. - The mount for the battery is flimsy. The battery is held by a couple of screws going directly into the frame, which makes it move around a bit. Not a huge issue but something that should be addressed. - The kickstand somehow became shorter which caused the bike to fall over several times. I fixed this by putting in a spacer that makes it long enough. - The brakes become squeaky sometimes (this is due to the pad material). This is fixed by removing the pads and cleaning those and the rotors with isopropyl alcohol. My new pads have a different material that doesn't have that issue. ... show more

These bikes are quite simply awesome! I bought four of these for my family this summer so we could cruise around together. They deliver. These are the only electric bikes I have owned - but I am super pleased with them. Seat height is about 32" - which was a bit tall for my 5' tall son - but that was easily remedied with some aftermarket shocks that took the seat height down to about 29" and left enough clearance for everything to ride smooth. Be aware as they come boxed up, there's some minor assembly that is required and I did realize that a few minor tweaks were in order after tightening everything up. One thing I did realize is the rear derailleur guard was inhibiting clean shifting into 7th gear. Quick adjustment cleared that right up. One rear brake was rubbing every so slightly - after a quick youtube realized it was simple to just loose two allen bolts, squeeze the brake, and tighten back up to get it perfectly recentered. All things to be expected with a bike that is not pre-assembled. None of these tasks detract from the bike in any way. Up and riding is a BLAST! Speeds reach 32-35Mph in assist level 5. You can set the assist from 1 to 5 with 1 topping around 16mph. As for distance - pulling 30mph most of a trip I got at least 30 miles for my kids and I. I am about 200lbs. Going 30 miles at assist 1 around 16mph with some light pedaling and the same trip used only about 20% of the battery - I am sure we could double that. Next - I specifically picked this out for the dual motor and it DELIVERS! Some steeper hills you can feel it working to keep my speed up but a quick switch to dual motor mode and I am back accelerating to full speed. Dual motor mode is really impressive - but it does make some burnouts from a stop. I prefer flipping this on once I am moving but with a steady hand you can accelerate fine with it. It's really wild whizzing down the road at these speeds whisper quiet and still able to have a conversation. I mostly worry about scaring up a deer at the last second because they won't hear us coming. FINALLY - I had a small noise start coming intermittently from the back wheel. A couple emails and video to their support and a new replacement wheel was on the way! Super support for any issues that arise, no hassle and super friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BIKE! ... show more

Received bike earlier than expected date. Very good packaging, no damage. After the fairly easy assembly and charging the battery, my first ride put a smile on my face. Everything worked as it should. Fit and finish is great. Like anything new to me, it had a learning curve. Now over a month later and 22 miles, mostly dirt trails, I can say I really like this ebike. Throttle only is very smooth even at very low speeds. In two wheel drive mode, B, if I tranfer weight to the front, it went up all the trail hills. Wow! My brother has a single wheel drive 750w ebike and he needed speed to make it up the hills. I like the voltage monitor function on the screen. As I do not charge the Lithium battery after each ride. If it drops below 52v (40%), then I'll charge it. The brake light and turn signals are a great safety feature. The hydraulic brakes feel powerful compared to cable pull manual disc brakes. The dual suspension is calibrated just right for my weight, 167 lbs.
