1. Make sure that the power start button lights up green. 2. Check the battery charge indicator. 3. Blade may need to be replaced. 4. Adjust the angle of the cutter relative to the material to be cut. Grip the material with one hand and cut with the other. 1. Press release button on tool 2. Align arrow on attachment with padlock on tool 3. Let go of release button to lock in attachment 1. Blade guard protects from accidental cuts - much safer than manual knife-type box cutters 2. To operate tool, need to switch on power start button first, then push trigger（no need for simultaneous pressing of button and trigger to operate tool） 3. Power start button and trigger are close to each other for easy control NOTE: This tool is NOT for cutting open unopened boxes as there is no bare blade. The blade is enclosed within a blade guard.

You don't have to push 2 buttons!!!

Yes, there are 2 buttons, but you don't press them at the same time. One is to turn on the scissors and then you can start and stop as many times as you want. If not used for a minute it shuts off. I tried one of the highly rated ones that you needed to push both buttons at the same time and my hand started started to cramp after only a few seconds. This is the one to buy.

Good Tool, Poor Charging

I simply don’t like tools that must be charged via USB. I don’t want my tools in the house near my computer, I want them in the garage. It doesn’t cut through boxes like my old Black+Decker used to. I gave it away to my sister and bought a real cutter at Lowe’s.
