At one point, I just stood in the garage with it, waiting for something to screw. It’s that satisfying. The power on this thing? Chef’s kiss. It’s brushless and cordless, but it drives screws like it's got something to prove and it doesn’t feel like I’m holding a cinder block. Smooth trigger, solid grip, and enough torque to make drywall tremble in fear. If you’re debating on this drill—just do it.     • Great tool.
I have owned Ryobi tools for 20+ years. This brushless drill is 5 star. Powerful. Small in size too. I have had the original, blue 18v, the next couple of generations as well. This is the best so far. Great price and being able to use the same batteries on all tools is such a benefit.

This drill is very powerful, feels good in your hand, and is very durable. One small caution: If you havent adjusted the clutch to a lower setting, and your drill bit or screws snags, it can powerfully twist out of your hands. It is a beast. Also it is soooo powerful that if you are not careful you can drill your screw all the way through your wood, strip out wood as you drive a hex head, or squeeze out rubber seals. Again, use your clutch intelligently. I would rather have the power and use skill, than to have a weak tool. I like this but I have to respect that it can be a monster if not used carefully. ... show more

It’s a really good drill. It has it real modern feel like today’s cordless drills. My main reason for using Ryobi is because the batteries are still the same after 20 years. so I can use my old tools (some blue tools )still and hopefully they’ll still keep the same battery for many more years to come. But, the one thing I don’t like if you don’t use it for a while you get a dead trigger on the first pull. I really don’t know what the purpose is for that. I noticed a lot of new tools are doing this. I don’t like that . I prefer instant results . Even after using it for a month now, it just throws me off ... show more

Ive got to be honest in the past I really wouldn't have even considered buying Ryobi, but in the past 5 or 6 years they have really upped their game. I would put this drill up against MOST of the 18v Dewalt drills any day of the week. Durability has been fine, and the torque this thing will put out surprised me to say the least. I really like this drill, compact, powerful and easy to use. Since I already had the batteries from other Ryobi products I own, I sprung for this higher model drill only, instead of the lower level kits offered, for around the same price. I had been using my 50 year old corded drill, before purchasing this one, having had a bad experience with a Black and Decker cordless years ago. It lacked power, battery working/retention time and took forever to charge. I ended-up giving it away, and swore off cordless as junk, from that point forward. However, I'm glad I gave it another try, as this lithium-ion powered tool is nothing like the old ni-cad design. ... show more
