    • Great way to expand your drill motor's usefulness
I've been enjoying this drill press stand. I had a very nice, corded drill that never got used. Whenever I need to drill something, I always reach for my cordless drill. This stand has been a perfect way to use that drill. Good quality and reasonably accurate. I have a large drill press, which I use often. Where this shines is for small things. I do a lot of electronics fabrication. I use this with a tiny bit to drill out boards for resistors, diodes, transistors, etc. It's really great for that. It's also portable. I was recently working on a project outside and set this up next to my work area to prevent repeated trips to my shop. I recommend this drill press stand. It's a quality tool and excellent value. This is not suitable for drilling into metal, it flexs so bad you end up way off your mark. It seems to be made of so so aluminum and steel. Its straight forward on assembly and use, but it's just not suitable for drilling into metal. I was sceptical about it from the start. I guess if you did like wood working or plastic stuff it would be ok to use. But In my line of work it's not worth a wet match in a dry cave. I just wanted something to drill hole in sheet metal and thin mild steel. Packaging and appearance was two thumbs up, quality is two thumbs up, but functionaly it's two thumbs down for me. ... show more

This drill press stand has potential, but the product page sets expectations it simply doesn’t meet. Although it arrived without assembly instructions, it wasn’t difficult to put together. The video on the listing shows the process clearly enough, but the photos are not helpful (more on that below). The stand itself is a clever idea. Overall, it’s somewhat lightweight and will probably work best if secured firmly to a bench for safe use. The included “flat jaw vise,” essentially a small drill press vise, is a useful extra for holding small pieces. Compatibility is the biggest issue. Although the listing states it’s designed for corded drills, we had hoped it might work with our cordless models — it didn’t. It also didn’t fit our Milwaukee corded drill, so buyers will want to double‑check collar size before ordering. The product page images appear to be AI‑generated, and none of them accurately show how the tool is meant to be used. Several depict impossible setups, and in many of them the drill isn’t present at all. The cord‑management loop shown in the listing also wasn’t included with the version we received. Another small but important detail: the depth‑stop markings on the column are black‑on‑black and very hard to read unless you’re in bright light or wearing reading glasses. It’s usable, but not especially user‑friendly. The stand itself is fine for light DIY use if your drill fits, but the listing really needs a human review to correct the images, clarify compatibility, and ensure buyers know exactly what they’re getting. As it stands, it’s hard to recommend over similar models that cost less and are more accurately represented. ... show more
