    • Works great. Very comfortable to hold and use.
Went to work on a project last week and realized my old Metabo grinder finally gave up on me after many years of service. As it was my last Metabo tool and basically everything else I own at this point is Ryobi, I figured it was time to get a Ryobi grinder. My son has been teaching himself how to weld the last couple weeks so he really put this grinder to the test yesterday and we have been very pleased with the quality and functionality. The handle shape makes it really easy to use compared to my other grinders as it's much more comfortable in your hand. So far, we have also been pleased with the battery life on it. We are using Ryobi 4ah batteries and they are lasting as long if not longer than we expected them to. If you really dig in on the grinding, it will drain batteries, but I have used Metabo, Craftsman, and Milwaukee grinders and all of them seem to have similar battery life so no complaints there (Plus, I literally have around 15 Ryobi batteries and 2, 6 bay chargers in my shop so never a shortage of fresh batteries to throw at it.) Another feature I really like is the front handle is designed to hold the wrench to change discs. Literally, all my other grinders do not have any place to store the wrench so the wrenches always end up tossed in a tool box or some other random place and we can never find them when we need them so having a place on the tool to store it is fantastic. ... show more

    • Nice grinder, bad documentation
Just got this and used it once and it works great. Only issue is the poor documentation that comes with it and trying to figure out how to tighten the disk locking nut. Turns out the tool need is in the handle but you won't know that by any of the docs...

It didn't come with the tool to take the head off... Other than that, it's a good tool

This thing can tackle almost anything. Be sure to use the 3 or 4mh battery as it does eat through them when you have a big project.
