Seems to block out quite a bit of heat and UV, also creates a nice shade. Installation is easy. Just feed the top portion into your existing roller on your awning. There is a 3 foot piece that stays permanently installed to the awning that is not mesh. It has a zipper that you attach the mesh piece to once you are set up. The mesh is nice and thick compared to others on the market. Seems quite sturdy. I purchased mine based on the recommended measurement of my awning. The width is good. But I wish I would have gotten one that is 1 foot shorter than what was recommended. I got the 17.3 foot wide (because we have an 18 foot awning) by 9 foot long version based on their recommendation of how high my awning is when extended. End result is that I have to stretch the screen out about 4 feet beyond the edge of my awning. I should have gotten the 8 foot version, and probably could have made due with the 7 foot version. But I am not going to return it. ... show more

We love this shade. It is very sturdy and is made from nice, thick material. It really helps block the sun and heat. It is easy to put up, and it stores well. It can be rolled up with an awning for quick and easy storage.

The material and zipper seems strong, It was heavier than I expected. It fit perfectly, directions could be a little more detailed, but once we figured it out it went smoothly. It made a great difference on a shadded area to sit and it keeps the wind and rain out a great deal also. We used it on a 5th wheel which has a very high awning, so it could be another 6 inches longer, also if you want to cantilever it outward, you will need longer bungies, but overall I was impressed. We love the shade. It was easy to install and the instructions were concise. I like the zipper feature, allowing us to easily remove the shade. The density of the mesh is great, blocking out the sun but still allowing good view out. If I was too critique anything, I find the bungee cords for securing the bottom could be little longer. This screen comes with everything you need to set it up. Gave us a nice addition to our awning space! The screen cloth is a very small weave which makes it about 85% sunblock (or more) but you can still see through it. Breeze comes in from either end so there is always air movement for comfort. Rain will "sift through" the shade portion to some extent but it stops the majority of water except when rain is heavy.
