We got this to replace our original 17' Dometic awning fabric which was deteriorating at only four years and had a horrible smell due to the vinyl and mildew. This was very easy to install compared to the vinyl counterparts, and sheds rain like water off a duck's back. It is not 100% waterproof under the awning but adequate. I also like the fact that it is slightly opaque so it is not completely dark under the awning, and dries out quickly. It is now almost a year old and performs well when we take the rig out every few months.

This awing fabrics is not waterproof! First time out with it, we had a light to medium rain and the rain leaked through in 4 places. Very disappointed.

We really love this awning, we were pretty torn because we read a lot of reviews talking about how it wasn’t waterproof but we don’t have our awning out most times when it’s raining so it’s perfect for us. We also love the hooks that came with it to hang lights from! The tie down hooks are really nice too.
