This is a great flat iron for anyone looking for a 5 star product at an affordable price. After doing some research on a new flat iron after losing my CHI on a cruise somehow.... I didn't want to shell out the same amount of money and read good things about this iron. I Just got it today and its fantastic. Heats up and gets hot extremely quickly and glides through hair effortlessly and I find my hair shinier after using it. I also feel it does a better job at getting my hair pin straight as if I just had it styled at a salon. Also upon opening and to my surprise this came with a BONUS trave hair dryer which is not mentioned in the product description. I haven't used the hair dryer yet but will be traveling home in a couple days for Christmas and will submit another review upon usage. Also I'd like to note I shop on amazon regularly but never leave feedback or reviews but this iron was well worth the price and great quality so I had to. ENJOY

I love the ability to change the heat settings on this flat iron. It works great on my super thick and naturally curly hair, which tends to get frizzy; making it ultra smooth and shiny. I love the long cord; I didn't realize how much I would love having the ability to move further than 36 inches from the outlet! The cord NEVER gets tangled either, which is a HUGE plus if you use flat irons to create the perfect curls. I also love that it's only 1 inch wide, because it doesn't take up nearly as much space as the old flat irons. I would definitely reccomend this!

Works great. Super light weight! The white exterior tends to discolor over time which isn't a deal breaker for me given the price of the product. It gets really hot fast which I like but mind those fingers! If you are using it to curl not straighten and hold the top together while you curl I would recommend getting a heat glove. Love it though! Works great at taming my super curls fast (1 to 2 passes where old straightener was about 5-6). I'd recommend to a friend!

Love this straightening iron. It weighs only a few ounces, and needs just one pass through the hair for a sleek and shiny finish. I used my former Rusk iron for over 10 years and am expecting the same with this one. Minor nit – my other iron came with a rubberized mat on which to lay the iron to protect surfaces, this had none but the old one is still like new. Would definitely recommend!

I have been a Chi user forever and when mine finally died I felt like trying something new. I did a lot of research and was looking for something affordable and effective, I read all of the reviews for this product and majority of them were great, which led me to purchase it. Once I received it I used it and was very pleased with how easily it straightened my hair and how soft it made it feel. Then I went to use it the very next day and it wouldn't heat up at all. I plugged it into different outlets, turned the heat to multiple different settings and even left it on for an hour to see if it would heat up just a little, but nothing. I don't know what could have gone wrong in the span of less than 24 hours to make it stop working, but I was very disappointed as I was hoping the reviews would ring true.I'm bummed it didn't work so I will be returning and looking for a different product elsewhere.

This flat iron makes your hair smooth and silky with a just pass or two even if your hair is course or thick. I found the review giving this product one star because it fell off the table in to a laundry basket full of clothes and "turned on by itself" bizarre. How about taking some personal responsibility for your own careless behavior? This flat iron has an awesome feature that allows you to lock the plates together when not in use. You don't find this feature on many flat irons and I wish more had it. I doubt that clothes in a basket would place enough force on the on/off switch to turn it on (nor do I think an insurance adjuster would), but even if that did happen, why would anyone leave a flat iron plugged in when not in use and leave it on a table above a laundry basket full of clothes? Don't blame a perfectly safe hair appliance for your lack of common sense. I'm glad this did not turn in to a tragedy but from what you described it is your carelessness that is the real danger to your family's safety. Back to the product review, I'm a licensed cosmetologist and have been for almost 25 years. I've owned hundreds of hair appliances (I'm actually a hair appliance junky) and dozens of flat irons all brands and this one was the best I've used so far. Safety tip: Please always unplug flat irons, curling irons, clothes irons or any other appliance that heats to very high temps when not in use because then you know for sure it's off.
