I did not read the description very carefully. I thought I was getting blackout curtains. But instead, it’s a kit that you cut out the size of your window and includes stickers of velcro so that you can cover your window. I was amazed how well it works. It’s very thin and light and yet is very durable. It was easy to install and it would be perfect for anytime that you want to temporarily block out most of the light. I did not have any light shine through the material itself. The only light was from my lack of perfection in the cutting. I wish I had had this a few years ago when I worked at night. I was often sleeping during the day and light was a constant problem as well as heat. This would’ve been the perfect solution at that time. It only takes a couple of seconds to put it up (when you have it cut and velcro in their places) and not very long to take it down. I was concerned that the stickers for the velcro was going to create damage and leave residue. But I don’t think it would even on paint (but I did not test it either). I also cut out a piece for a window that is in my home office. Sometimes the sunrise is so bright even with blinds that it’s very disturbing. This will be a great solution for those mornings.

I love the blackout curtain. I only use it for the bottom half of my window and my daughter’s room as well. It does keep out the light, help cool down the house faster and it’s really easy to use.

This is the best thing I have literally ever purchased because it is very easy to cut out the size of your window that you need to cover because there is a tape measure included and it comes with Velcro so it is easy to hang up. I covered my bedroom window and there is absolutely no light that shines through it at all. They seem pretty durable, stick well to window and easy to hang up too. Definitely recommend and not too expensive either

Bought these for my kid’s room because even with blackout curtains, so much light leaked into their rooms from the tops and sides, making him wake up nearly at the crack of dawn every morning 😂 They aren’t perfect, and I knew they wouldn’t be, but they definitely have helped A LOT, and I would definitely recommend buying these if you want less light coming through your windows! I will say it would be easier to measure and mark with a yard stick rather than the tape measure that comes with it, but with one person holding the tape measure down and the other drawing a line with a sharpie on the silver side, we got the job done.
