Shockingly scant and thin pile to this rug, that we could see the multicolored threading base of this rug(See pics). We were also upset to feel the texture was NOT plush as seller advertised, in the description and their website pics. What we got is a coarse and rough textured, we felt with our fingers. I only opened a small part of the plastic it came wrapped in, just to examine the pile and texture. The multicolored threading seen thru the outside of the plastic was a 🚩 red flag, so I didn’t bother to unwrap the entire rug incase I had to return it. Very disappointing, because we were waiting for this rug to finally complete my daughter’s bedroom renovation and re-decorating process. Now my daughter is bummed that she has to pick another and wait…again!! I’ve added pics to show what our family received. (PS: I always read the reviews before purchasing any items. The rug fit perfectly and the color was what it showed to be. It vacuums up very nicely and it on curls given a little time. I am very pleased with the quality. size, and over all feel it gave to the room.

Cons this carpet came folded, not rolled, which left two deep creases running the long way. There was a strong 'chemically' smell, and I asked my family what they thought. They said it smelled like a new carpet. After a few days, the scent is more tolerable. And the backing is white. I can see it. I wish they had used black support for the black rug. Pros feel silky and light. I like thin hairs because I can vacuum them out when stuff drops. The size is correct and was not shortchanged in measurement. For the price, this is the best. The cost is low and so is the quality. It feels like super cheap carpet to bare feet. I guess I was expecting 70s shag that was somewhat silky. The backing has no grip so enjoy the slip and slide. The worst part is that the back is black or dark grey and since the pile is thin and low, it shows right through! The only positive is that the rug I purchased was a 3’ x 3’ which is hard to find.
