Metal, not plastic. High quality black crinkle finish. Had to widen and lengthen bottom belt clip slot to accommodate the AT878, as expected. i was pleasantly surprised that this is a metal holder. That made it easy to modify for my needs, and is stronger than plastic, which heats up and that could weaken it. I have mine on a ball mount to use with a a ram mount system in my jeep

    • Doesn't fit Baofeng handhelds.

Great construction and comes with mounting screws. It doesn't fit Baofeng handhelds such as the UV-5R or F8HP, though. The slots are just barely too far apart. I'm just going to drill out the extra 2mm needed to catch the clip.
