The media could not be loaded. My son in law introduced me to the Rugcel brand a couple of years ago. He runs one on his ‘85 Toyota pickup and it has worked flawlessly in many tough situations. So put one in my wife’s FJ Cruiser and now in mine. This new one is rated at a higher pulling strength. The video I posted is of my FJ stuck on a steep hill. It pulled it out even with no help from the tires at first. I like the ease of installation, the protective sleeves on the rope, the two remotes, cover, and wired remote. Decent winch for the price. Seems solid. Installed as expected. Only issue was clevis hook was yellow unlike the picture, which shows a matching red one. If not for that, I would have given this 5 stars.

I bought this winch it somehow shorted while I was in the house and bent my new bumper my winch plate and broke my Inter cool. Customer service sucks

The winch was great for about 2 months and then it broke. I contacted Amazon but it was past their 30 days so no help there. I contacted rugcel and it has been about a month with no help. They have a 3 year warranty on their winches but getting them to respond to the warranty claim is like talking to a brick wall. I have sent them numerous emails and the last email I sent I got a response back saying we will get to you as soon as we can. What does that mean? 3 years later? Once the warranty runs out? This is ridiculous I spent money buying this and now I'm out the money and the winch. FML ... show more
