NOTE: Written before I decided to take another relook at the wiring and decided it made no sense the way it was wired, moved the small black wire to a chassis ground, then lo and behold the damned thing spins like a top. Great winch, lousy directions. It kinda worked, so I overlooked it's defect past the return period (my mistake.) The solenoid goes on-off-on-off repeatedly and rhythmically when you're using it, seems like you don't get as much power as it's capable of because the solenoid doesn't maintain. Also, sometimes the remote catches on "on" and that can be unsettling. I'll keep using it because I can't return it now but won't be buying one again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It works great easy to install if you have a good mounting plat! You don’t a high end rough country mount, but make sure it does have a front plate!

I was not able to synch the remote with the winch so I never got it to work. Neither the Rugcel website nor Amazon could provide a support number to call, so I reached out for help on Rugcel's email and described the problem. About a day later, someone responded to my email asking me what the problem was. I provided that, again, but never heard back after following up many times. I reached out on Rugcel's Facebook account, and, once again, someone responded a day later saying someone would pick up my support request. That never happened. I will spend a little more and purchase a winch sourced out of the US with at least some level of customer support.

I have only had it a week and rust is already forming on the Hawse Fairlead bolts. The bolts are not stainless steel (notice the silver bolts above the license plate in the picture). It makes me wonder about the build quality of the motor. Did they use other cheap parts? I haven't had a chance to use the winch under tension. I will contact customer support for their response.

I can’t believe they can make them this cheap. I tried pulling a stump with it and the torque was sufficient enough to stand up a jeep wrangler tj on the front wheels. The remote controls are sorta cheap and lightweight but everything else was better than expected. Would recommend to off-road drivers how don’t want to spend a lot money.

Great product. Came nicely packaged, Pretty straight forward installation, The battery cables were nice and long enough to reach the battery in the back of the engine compartment. The 2 wireless remotes worked great!! All in all it was a good value for what you got. I haven't used it yet, so hopefully when I need it, it won't let me down...

Looks great and works great the only thing that brings it down to 3 stars is the plugin controller only work coming out, but not going back in. But the wireless controllers work perfectly
