My wife and I (in our 50s) put this together in about 3-1/2 hours. We had a concrete pad poured for it, and that was smart because we had a nice level surface. Directions are almost entirely images, so some of the connectors were a little odd until we figured it out. This Rubbermaid shed is Fantastic! I did a lot of research and comparing models…this was the best I found for the price. I got this on sale on Amazon and I haven’t been disappointed. Shed was delivered on time and the last mile company brought it all the way to my backyard for easy unpacking and set up. My brother and I put the whole thing together in less than 3 hours. The longest portion was pulling the sticky protective paper off the windows. Everything lined up perfectly and screws and bolts went together easy. Instructions were well written and easy follow. Once all together I was very impressed with the quality and all the aluminum reinforced panels that make it super sturdy. This shed was easy to assemble by myself. It is super spacious. It is very good looking from the outside. The only issue I had was that the wall brackets that Rubbermaid has easily tear thru the plastic walls, even with nothing loaded on them. My solution was to build an inner frame out of 1x3” wood. If you're reading reviews on the Rubbermaid Sheds make sure the reviews you read pertain to the right shed. For example there are reviews for a previous model under this listing, that is misleading for what you're going to receive. We ordered the 7x7 rubbermaid shed with a dormer in grey. We chose this because we currently own the previous model same dimensions with no dormer and it was a breeze to put together. We love that one. This newer model has been modified by the manufacturer and states it conserves on materials and parts to make it easier.... This is a load of BS. The one we ordered, the walls made of resin were all warped. It didn't snap in easily as presented in their online video tutorial. Parts didn't fit right where you would secure one corner of the roof and then snap in the other corner and the secured corner would then pop out. The instructions don't make sense but i guess thats a given. The materials don't seem as good quality as their previous model, and the seams from the side walls were not seamless where there would be chance for outdoor water penetration. We decided to return. Which in of it self was a nightmare dealing with Amazon logistics and their freighting partners who after 5 attempts of failed pick ups due to mismanagement of time, communication needs for resources and man power decided to tell us to deal with the 500lb package on our own. However they did right and refunded us. BUT Now I have a 500lb useless shed sitting in our yard killing my grass and obstructing the entrance into our yard for 4th of July weekend. First, I’m going to start with the good. After completing construction I have determined that it is structurally sound, and completely sealed has no leaks, considering the rain that fell after construction and completely satisfied and happy with the look of the finished shed Now the bad The price was a little more than what I wanted to pay the construction was much more difficult than the video portrayed Pre-drilled holes not lining up or drilled through completely. And last the ugly the last mile delivery service that brought it to my house (RXO) t first they change the delivery times not once but twice mind u the delivery time and instruction were laid out 3 weeks prior when I ordered the shed I called them and they indicated that the delivery time originally set was not convent for them What about whats convent for me I was forced to take a day off from work the changes were made the day before delivery mind you I had ordered three weeks prior When they finally arrived, they refused to place the item where I indicated it was going when I purchased it stating they did not have the equipment to roll through a couple of feet of grass to the back of the house now mind u all of this was indicated when i ordered the shed they knew prior to coming where this shed needed to go I have purchased many items from Amazon and this is the only review that I will say I hope Amazon uses dependable carriers and never again uses RXO to deliver their products. I put this shed together alone over the course of 3 weekends. If I didn't have to haul the pieces from my driveway to the backyard I could have done it in 2. Total labor time on the shed itself was about 5.5 hours. Partially due to the location and having to move my ladder so much. Definitely use dawn dish soap to help the pieces slide together and make sure your foundation is level! I used a rubber mallet to assist getting some panels together and that helped. Also, I recommend that you put the panels in the sun on a flat surface to make them straight as they were a little warped from shipping. If you are assembling solo, a triangle ladder that you can sit on the top of is a must unless you are tall. I'm a 5'7 125lbs 50+ woman who is good at construction but balancing a few of the panels and hefting some of the roof had me cursing, especially on the 90 degree days. Definitely easier with a helper but, my pittie mix could only offered kisses! Shed seems pretty sturdy and is a nice size. I like that it is plastic and recyclable. My old shed got termites from being near moist woods. This shed has already weathered a pretty big rain and wind storm and no leaks. I also like the skylight and door hardware adds a nice touch. So far the floor has been easy to clean as well. My recommendation is call a buddy to help and this can be a one day project. ... show more
