This safe was perfect for me. I needed the volume it offers. I already have 2 Sentry fire resistant safes so that was not a concern for me. I looked at some similar Tiger King safes but they did not have the configuration I needed. Note: for some reason Tiger King lists their safe volume based on the exterior dimensions which is misleading. To figure out their actual internal capacity you have to multiple the interior HxWxD in inches then divide by 1728 to get the cubic feet. The top compartment does not lock but I don't need it too. Its perfect for holding multiple small loose items . Some people have complained that the fingerprint reader is finicky but that's probably because they did not read the manual closely. When registering a print the sensor scans your finger three times. If you only do it once it will not always work. Fortunately you can register the same finger multiple times (up to 30). After registering my finger three times (9 scans) it works every time. ... show more

This safe has a lot of features for the money. As an analog person, I find digital technology can be challenging to set up, however, I was able to get this working with zero frustration. Programming the code and biometric reader was VERY easy. It also has a mini LED light bar which lights up everything. My only suggestion is to make it a few lbs heavier. Since its attached to the wall, its not a huge issue. I also want to point out the seller has fabulous customer service. I had a question, and it was addressed through the Amazon message system in light speed. Very accommodating customer service professional. Wanted a decent safe for my 9mm. Ammo, and some small important stuff. Has a nice weight to it and came solid and undamaged. Won't prevent a determined theif from taking it unless it's bolted down but having my 9 locked up does add some peace of mind. Programing wad straight forward and easy. I like the backup keys just in case. The only downside I can find off bat was the knob doesn't "feel" as secure as I'd like. Slightly shifty (wobbly?) When using it. Not a deal breaker. I understand the parts going through it. I did alot of comparisons and research from looks to build and accessibility and am quite satisfied. Last thoughts, if you want a more secure safe that's not going to go anywhere then get one over 300 pounds, big rifle safe which is something I'll eventually get to. ... show more

I'll start by saying, " I do like the style and dementions of my safe. " However, when the product arrived, it was scratched on the front door. When I open the front door the illuminating light fell off where it was sapposed to be due to improper gluing. I reattached it to the door, but then only half the lights turn on. My finger ID print has not unlocked the door in weeks. I can only use the code or key to open my $450.00 safe. ... show more

After doing hours of research I decided on this safe. It’s not fireproof or waterproof, but I can purchase the bags to put my valuables in to protect them. Safe arrived in perfect condition, very easy set up, directions easy to follow. I love having 2 ways to open safe, thumbprint or key. Size is big, will fit a lot of items. The top compartment is big too. The shelves are lined with something that is very soft, shelf can be removed to use safe for large items. This safe was not my first choice, Sentry was—-but after reading all the reviews about problems opening it Sentry was removed from the list. This safe is heavy, comes with bolts to attach to wall. The only thing that I would have liked was for the top compartment to have a more solid door and a lock on it, other than that I am thrilled with my purchase. It's just what we needed for a safe. The only annoyance is that it didn't recognize my fingerprint after a few times of using it. My husband's wasn't a problem. Not the end of the world as I can just enter the code. I don't particularly like the alarm that goes off when I try too many times to open it with my fingerprint and doesn't work.
