I with I could give this bike ALL the starts out there. I bought a super cute bike a couple of years ago for my child who is on the spectrum and has some issues with coordination. It was a disaster. The bike was heavy and I could only remove the pedals; not the arms, which caused a lot of bruises. She could not learn and it became a source of anxiety and distress. After trying a couple of times, she would not try again and that bike went to waste. She has a couple of friends in the neighborhood that ride bikes and I could tell she wanted to join them so I took the risk again, but this time I did my research. I didn’t want to buy a balance bike AND a regular bike for obvious reasons. Royal Baby stuck with me due to reviews and for being convertible. I set it up on Christmas Eve and it was very easy to set up the handle bar, the seat, and the reflectors. On Christmas Day, I was bracing myself for a meltdown. We started on a paved flat area. She did short strides on the balance bike, then promptly she went to long strides, and though I thought she needed more time, she went to short bunny hops than large bunny hops. After about 10 minutes, she asked to try the pedals. I was reluctant, but after pushing her a couple of times, she did it! I was so happy for her. No tears! No panic attacks. Just some perseverance and a proud smile on her face! It was light enough for her to pick herself up and keep moving. I love the simple and practical look of it.     • An oversized balance bike

I have a cautious kid. They hate wiggly surfaces and going too fast. If they understand some way to control the movement they improve. Their first bike is on the small side and not used much. It has some parts not adjusted correctly out of the box. It's frustrating to use along with its training wheels and coaster brakes. This bike gave them a different bike experience. The hand brakes have the pressure/gripper brakes for the front and disk brakes on the rear. The brakes require the handlebars to stay with the bike. We can adjust out in the wild the seat height. It fits in my husband's trunk (honda accord). Just pay attention to the kickstand on load in. Unboxing requires setting the handlebars on and attaching the reflectors. Our kiddo did try and their first try was great. I've had an item change on me in the far past. At purchase this was called "RoyalBaby Kids Bike, Terra EZ Balance to Pedal Convertable Bicycle, 14 16 18 Inch Easy Learn Balancing to Biking Boys Girls Ages 3-9 Years Beginners (Turquoise, 18 Inch for 5-9 Years Old)" This is a new product, so it's description may adjust to suit the product over time. Bought for my 8 year old who was very nervous about learning to ride a bike! She was using one of those princess bikes she’s had forever that we took the training wheels off of, but we could just tell that she needed something lighter and that gave her a boost of confidence! She learned to ride it in less than a WEEK ! The pedals come off in just a click and after 3 days of the balance bike, pedaling took prob an hour between two days to learn! Get it!!! I looked at other brands more expensive ones (G—-u know the one) but this one is top notch a beautiful!
