  • Met all my needs
I have a history of wrist issues, such as carpal tunnel and tendonitis, so when I first started using my rowing machine, I noticed that the default handle was a bit too tough on my wrist and forearms being forced into a rigid palms down position, and trying to use it palms up felt uncomfortable. Luckily I found this product and I find that it meets everything I was looking for. It feels much less stressful on my wrists by allowing me to pull with a more neutral palms facing each other position, though it's also very easy to use anything between full palms up to full palms down with the way the handles allow twisting it. When attaching it on the default handle, I did have to flex the orange plastic quite a bit to fit it on where I was a bit worried about the orange part breaking, but apparently it's a lot sturdier than it looks since it went on just fine and have had no problems with it. I also really like how compared to the competitor product I was looking at, I didn't have to replace the original handle, and you can switch between the RowMo and the default handle very easily if needed. Hopefully this thing lasts since it's a huge improvement over the default handle for my wrist issues! ... show more

  • Great product
This is a great product. The customer service is excellent. Easy assembly and when rowing it is a nice break from the handle. If you pay attention you can feel more bicep and lay activation, which is nice. I would recommend this to my friends. Great product!

  • Loving the twist!
LOVE MY ROWMOS! Adds a whole new dynamic to my workouts. Being able to twist my hands on the pull is so much easier on my wrists. Feels like more complete upper body engagement. Get a pair, you won't regret it!

  • Love using these to warm up
Note: I did not purchase my RowMos from Amazon, but directly from the vendor. TL;DR: I love these for warming up before my rows after work. I do feel that since using these my hand and wrist strength, and chest and back muscles are improving, and that's definitely helping me stay upright and in form more during my regular row. For that strengthening alone I've found their value in my investment. Commentary: These grips are A LOT more comfortable to me after a long day at my desk and being able warm up my wrists (being able to rotate my wrists and forearms helps so much) and work my chest and back more helps me prepare better for the straight bar on my C2. Since it takes me about 5-10 minutes to relax and find my groove on the rower, I opt not to use the clip and instead just loop my handles onto my bar and make sure they're place in as far as possible. This is not recommended by the manufacturer, please use the provided clip. That being said, I did use them clipped in correctly for a week before removing. The clip is not difficult to install/uninstall, but I did find it all a bit too clunky to keep on while using the regular handle bar. Maybe if the clip was able to secure the handles together directly in the middle it would be worth keeping on the whole time, but the handles kept hitting my chain and knocking together when just looped back as designed and it was making me crazy during sprinting. I'm weak and fat, but I'm getting stronger and faster than I used to be. My normal 2k time is 2:20/500m so to warm up with these handles on I'll regularly maintain 2:45-2:35 at 18-22spm to work out my kinks, and I can hit about 2:25 at 24spm if I feel really perky. My stroke is very smooth and steady at 24 and below, and I'm comfortable knowing they're not "secured" in place. However, I just can't comment on anything faster than 2:25 since I am unable to maintain anything faster for more than 500m with the handles on. I personally would not sprint with them without the clip. Maybe I'm still just a bit too bouncy once I exceed 25spm, but since I am using them unsecured they could loosen and that's on me if I get hurt, not RowMo. If they are secured using the clip then sprinting is ok, but I just can't get up to the same speeds as I can on the bar and as I mentioned earlier, they bounce around a bit when looped back. It's not hard to change from handles to bar and back again, I just didn't like them bouncing around so much as higher speeds. Finally, I have no on-water experience so I can't comment on whether or not the feeling is similar, but I do find they shorten my drive length quite a bit. I've gotten used to that for the warmup but I know I wouldn't want to keep that length for my regular row. Since I use mine unsecured, when I'm ready to get my training row on I just slide them off the standard bar and go about my scheduled plan. I'm not sure younger, stronger, healthy rowers would find a lot of value in these handles (unless they actually do mimic the on-water experience that I don't have), but as an older woman with slight hand and wrist issues and a weak upper body, I've enjoyed using these and have made slight but noticeable gains to my overall performance since using them. ... show more
