I love my Rowenta 💚
Style: 1875 Watts
Review Image by Douglas Morales Douglas Morales
I recently purchased the Rowenta X-Cel Handheld Steamer, and I’m really impressed with its performance. It heats up quickly and produces a powerful, continuous steam that easily removes wrinkles from clothes. What I like most is how lightweight and comfortable it feels in hand, making it easy to maneuver even for longer steaming sessions. The large water tank allows me to steam several garments without constant refilling, and it works great not only on shirts and dresses but also on heavier fabrics like jackets and curtains. Another big plus is that it’s much faster than ironing, perfect for when I’m in a hurry. The only downside is that it takes a bit of space for storage compared to smaller travel steamers, but the power and efficiency make it worth it. Overall, the Rowenta X-Cel Handheld Steamer is a reliable, high-quality tool that saves me time and keeps my clothes looking fresh. Highly recommended if you want professional results at home. ... show more

Good value for the money
Style: 1875 Watts
Loved the LONG electric cord. I flew to Michigan from Seattle with this item to attend a formal wedding so I have only used it once so far. The others in my group had dinky steamers. I had a big ballgown to steam. This size of steamer made it easier. The material was polyester taffeta so it took several passes to get the creases out. I was very pleased with the results. I did use the delicate setting. It might have gone faster if I had used the turbo setting but I didn't want to take the chance of damaging the fabric. It does heat up fast and the steam quality is very good. ... show more

Give it a 'whack' if it appears to not be working 😁
Style: 1600 Watts
UPDATE: I've updated my original review (below) from a '1' to a '4' because after I posted my review a few months ago, I decided to give the steamer a good flat 'whack' or palm slap' on the bottom, the darn thing started steaming again and has been working fine for several months now. Had I not had the issue of the steamer suddenly stop working, I would rate it a '5' APRIL 2025: I bought this Rowenta Steamer in 2022 and used it three times in my home....tried to use it today (April 2025) and there is NO steam at all (yes, I filled the tank). The top of the unit is warm, almost hot....but no steam. I emptied the tank after each use so I know there's no issue with calcium build up or stale water. The two little nozzles where the tank connects to the steamer are clean. ... show more

Handy, effective and easy to use
Style: 1875 Watts
This is the second one of these we have bought, our daughter put the grab on the first one and it is still going strong for her. This is a really handy unit. It is quick to heat and the steam flow is easy to control. We like it for last minute touch-up as well as full steaming of items coming out of storage for the season. ... show more

Obsessed
Style: 1600 Watts
After years of using travel sized steamers I thought it was time to invest in one that would last me for years to come and I’m so glad I found this one. I love that I can set it to heat up while I finish other things and the steam won’t release until press the button. The accessories are great as well ... show more

That it doesn't break after a few uses
Style: 1600 Watts
I had a Rowenta steamer in the past; probably for about 8 years when I discovered it was not working. I used it maybe 2-3x a year if that, but I figured I had it for a while.. moved a few times, maybe it got broken when I moved. When it WAS working, I was really happy with it, so I opted to purchase another Rowenta. I purchased the new one in Sept 2021. I used it a few times when I first got it, then again, maybe 2-3x a year, if that. It was stored completely dried out and in the original box. I opened it last year one day I was running late.. I thought maybe I hadn't given it proper time to heat up all the way. I pulled it out again about a month ago and let it "warm up" for about 20 minutes. It got luke warm, it never steamed at all. For something that was kept in perfect condition and used maybe 6 times, I'm really frustrated that this one quit working. I'm tempted to call it junk, but when they're working, they're very powerful and felt very "worth" the money spent. I'm just totally disappointed in the fact that I barely used 2 of them and both quit working when properly taken care of. ... show more
