I purchased this unit in the beginning of July when the heat wave came through. The installation was a breeze and very straight forward. I had a minor electrical issue on the beginning in which I contacted customer service and they helped me discover that I had a bad breaker I bought from home depot. After replacement the unit came right online. Connecting to the app was a breeze and so far it works well. Only other minor set back was the unit was supposed to be pre-charged and it arrived empty. I had the unit leak tested and charged by a hvac company and was compensated by the seller for my trouble. With that being said these units are great. They are whisper quiet while in operation and maintain a cool temperature all day in the heat and humidity. If you're in the market for a great mini split unit then look no further. The media could not be loaded. The unit doesn’t perform as advertised. I received the first unit, which was defective. I had to have the unit installed and incur installation expenses to have it properly installed. I sent all the necessary documents to Rovsun, and they agreed to send a replacement. However, the condenser replacement was damaged during shipping. After over 2-3 months, I’m now am still without heat and air conditioning. After a few more weeks, the third unit finally arrived, I still had to pay for installation. When the electrician came to check, the same error message appeared. I contacted the company, hoping they would send a technician to diagnose the issue. Instead, they offered the option of replacing the unit or providing a refund. I’ve had the unit for over two months now, and they’re now giving being difficult. They insist that it must be in the original boxes, which is not possible since I’ve alread. I understand the appeal of the price, but overall, it’s not worth the savings. The customer service is based in China, and they only communicate through email, which is difficult to understand. The instruction manual is also poorly written and doesn’t even explain how to release the refrigerant. You have to go online to find the information you need. I’m truly regretful my purchase, and they’re still trying to avoid refunding the unit costs and deny any others costs lie the two installations and detachment. ... show more

Its not a simple install but doable. But for a do it youselfer with a little know how I saved a ton of money with this unit. I installed it a month ago and Ac is cold as ice. No issues as all. Whisper quit. Watch an installation video YouTube before you install it. It will walk you through the steps. You will need a vacuum pump and a set of Ac gauges. But the refrigerant is already in the unit so no need to add refrigerant. A pipe flare kit was very helpful in trimming the hoses. ... show more

I am a hvac service tech and for the price this is a great system so far. Everything works as it should only reason not giving it 5 stars is the copper is really really thin. The media could not be loaded. Work awesome and they are very quiet. My installer did it extremely sloppy but that doesn’t seem to affect how it performs. Shipped with some damage though, be mindful of that.

The units were pretty easy to set up! The only thing that the diy group needs to know is you will need to vacuum the system down and you will need house hold electric knowledge if you intend to do it all on your own.
