This heater is not only beautiful in design but works like a charm. We have a non-functioning fireplace and didn't know what to do with it. Add to that, the room was very cold and drafty in the winter. I spent days researching fireplace inserts and faux fireplace space heaters and chose this one because it had everything I wanted. 1) It was small enough to fit in my unusually timy fireplace without sticking out onto the tiles. 2) It had a beautiful, realistic imitation animated fire. 3) The controls were accesible from the front (behind the door) vs. some models which have the controls on the side or back - which obviously wouldn't have worked for us in this application. 4) Heats the room like a true champ! I accidentally left it on for two days while I was gone and came back to a toasty warm, NOT drafty room and was thoroughly convinced that no guest of mine will complain about the cold in their room. 5) It's so cute! 6) EASY and quick to put together. You just need a screwdriver* to put the legs on. Yes, the legs are plastic, but they do not feel cheap or flimsy. They are very sturdy. 7) It is pretty darn quiet. There is a fan noise but more in the white noise category vs. the obnoxious, loud category. 8) It can be used with or without heat. So if you want a sexy little fire without the heat in the summer, YOU CAN HAVE IT! I am ecstatic with this purchase. All my research paid off and I am confident I chose the best one. *TIP: Use a magnetic screwdriver to put the screws in. You will thank me later. It's pretty difficult to reach one of the screws on each leg without the magnetic screwdriver. ** Only thing that could make this product better would be if it made a crackling fire noise when it's on. But that's me nit-picking.

P.O.S. What a huge waste of money. This piece of crap lasted a month and a half with minimal use. It burnt out and blew a fuse, left a burning smell. DANGEROUS! DO NOT BUY!

Received the heater late yesterday, several days earlier. Box was in good shape - Thank you delivery person. The legs were easy to attach and recommend a screwdriver with a magnetic tip. Believe I had read that in a previous review - thanks for the tip. The heater is quieter than I expected and so far the heat output is good. I use the heater in a finished walk out basement. There is a bit of a draft from the door, next job will be replace door, but so far the heater helps out. Fingers crossed that it will continue to work well. As far as the appearance, not bad. The wood burning affect doesn't look cheesey like some heaters do. The overall look is decent. I wish the temperature options were easier to see. But that is a minute issue. Again, too early to tell, but as of now would recommend.

Received today. Love it 1. putting the legs on is only slightly cumbersome. 2. It's very lightweight, not quite 14 pounds. 3. The cord is 6 feet. 4. There were no cracks, etc 5. It's very quiet. 6. The fan works well and the heat comes right through 7. It's not hot to touch 8. It closes up with a magnet 9. The 'flames' don't crackle but they do look way more realistic than old models 10. It looks almost exactly like our large woodstove 11. It doesn't have the "smell" of alcohol or other electric units 12. It has a thermostat that will turn on and off quietly, depending on the setting but keeps the flame going. *Our real woodstove puts out so much heat no matter how we vent it (always has, I'm almost 70 using wood stoves so it's not human error) *my husband and I are disabled so to have this removes the requirement of having to go out to get wood yet have the comfort and look of a stove unless the electricity goes out. In which case we have the option of using our outside generator to keep this going. We are not disappointed.

Best heater ever!!! This fireplace heater is powerful!! I keep it in my bedroom and it heats it up quick and the heat comes down the hallway and heats up other parts of the house too! Easy to control how warm the heat gets and looks great! Much better than my last heater and much better than I expected! Very happy with this purchase!
