The Company and Customer Support: Rovsun's 12K BTU (1 ton) mini-split has been working phenomenally. I'd like to start by speaking about the 5-star customer service they provide with product support. For anyone hesitant about company support after the fact, they should not be worried here. When I needed support on one of my Rovsun units (I have installed several of their mini-splits), I simply emailed them using their form on the website, and they got back to me the next business day with an immediate solution to my issue. I have to explain that no matter what brand you go with, the potential for a mechanical defect is a possibility, so it really comes down to the company to be helpful in those situations, and Rovsun was not a letdown. This reason alone is enough to highly recommend this brand. However, there are pros to their mini-splits, too. The Mini-Split: I have worked professionally in the HVAC business since 2018, both as an installer and service technician, so I'd like to say I know a lot about HVAC equipment very well. This particular system is built just as well or better than many of the other units on the market today. There are no surprises when it comes to the installation, it puts together very well. The remote is very easy to use, and the buttons are large. The LCD light-up screen is intuitive to understand and is big enough to see all the numbers without struggling. It comes with a wall mount if you wish to hang it. The operation is very quiet, and the high fan speed blows plenty of air. If needed, there is a "super" mode on the remote that provides extra power. It is wifi compatible and can be used with their app, which works well. My Application: I have this system set up in a 2 car garage that is converted into a home gym. This 12k system is perfect for keeping the garage set to 77 F, even during the hot Arizona summers. The system runs nearly 24/7, and has been since Feb 2024. No diminish in efficiency, or increase in noise. 19 SEER is very efficient and isn't hard on the electricity bill. Conclusion: Do not snooze on this brand. The install is not bad, the equipment works great, and the customer support shines bright. And on top of that, their systems are very affordable and priced right! I totally recommend going with this option over others.

minisplits are amazing they save on electricity as they run on 110 instead of 220 yes you can get an adapter plug and plug it into your wall socket no electrician required they run so silent you cant hear them but heat and cool faster and better than the giant heat pumps that take up your back yard the external unit is the size of a medium size suitcase and you can watch a video and install it yourself in under 2 hrs using a drill holesaw allenwrench level and pencil no a/c man required as the unit is precharged w/ coolant i do recommend installing external unit on the ground instead of using the wall mount bracket as it can sometimes start a vibrating hum we live in the arizona desert with summer temps around 110-120 for a few months and i would never go back to an hvac system they are crazy expensive loud and inefficient i could buy 7 minisplits for the price of 1 hvac do the math!

First off I was hesitant about this company. Not a lot of reviews and sort of unknown by my peers, but this was hundreds cheaper than other brands. I ordered the 12000 btu unit and it arrived in 2 big boxes. I believe the shipping company may have shipped it upside-down, as it arrived on its head for the outdoor unit. This is important as after the installation I had some issues. Installation was pretty straightforward and not difficult. The biggest issue was figuring out my homes older wiring process, so I verified with a mulitmeter and connected to a cutoff switch connected to main power fuse box. The other issue was putting a hole in the wall of my living room. The instructions were laid out pretty good, I also measured a few times and made a template for the hole placement for the drain and high and low pressure lines. Mounting was easy, just like hanging anything with weight into the studs. Wiring for the indoor unit was easy as well as the connections for the outdoor electronics. Pretty smooth altogether for installation. Everything was included for connecting and insulation. I would however suggest getting an outdoor cover for the lines, hose and wiring insulation to pretty it up and protect it from the sun. I had to build a stand with a small roof on it to protect the unit as well as keep it off the ground becuase I dont want my dogs to mess with it. I was so excited to get everything connected, leak tested, pressure tested and properly evacuated as recommended in the manual. This worked wonderfully!!!... but... **I did have an issue with the outdoor unit that I recieved which worked for a few days then started blowing warm air. We are starting to have summer days in the triple digits and I was not happy... I contacted the seller and requested a solution or refund. We went back and forth (mostly due to the message method of contact as well as the time difference) But the seller responded quickly, offered solutions, had me do some basic troubleshooting and kept in touch. They sent me a replacement outdoor unit as we agreed and within 4 days or so, I recieved it, installed it to replaced the first one and Voila!!! Amazing, much needed, cold air!!! I would hightly recommend this product and I will definitely be purchasing another for another part of the house. Great product, inexpensive and wonderful customer support.

Works great at cooling my large bedroom. Cool 69 degrees every night for sleeping. Put it on an existing 20 amp bedroom circuit. No issues of tripping the circuit with the TV lighting or even to run the vacuum. Very energy efficient. No noticeable change in my electric bill. Would be a perfect 5 but the wi-fi is absolutely useless.

update: i put 3 of these in my old 1874 victorian with single pane windows. One is heating/cooling my bedroom and kitchen about 700sf. last night it got down to about 15f and this morning my room is 55f. sooo. i'm going to put another unit in my living room (seperated with french doors) to help heat/cool the kitchen... remember to set temp at 88f so the warm air at the ceiling does not turn the unit off when it is up to 15f cooler at floor level.... ps somewhat easy to cut line set to exact size needed but you'll need to reflare one connection... get a flare tool and good copper pipe cutter and watch a youtube on how to... can also splice two pipes together this way with a flare coupling if needed. no need to braze... i was hvac and refrigeration tech since i was 14, 1974. got my BSEE Umich. so. this is an awesome system. i just bought 3 to heat/cool my entire 2500sf victorian mansion in carson city nv. 115vac don't have to run new power lines just drill a 3/4" hole in wall and route power line into house and put a 115vac plug on the wire and plug in . put some tape on exposed wire outside to protect from sun damage, or i think i'll just use a piece of flexible conduit to get in inside. get a wall mount frame from amazon to keep condensor unit 3 ft off ground.... i live in area subject to occassional 3ft snow storms. so, this r454b refrigerant... reefer gauges for this should not be contaminated with other refrigerants such as 410a but i read the connections are the same. so you can get a gauge set (not electronic) on amazon for 410a. just use it only for this system (or get extra hose sets to change out if you use for 410a). buy a vevor vacuum pump, $80 on amazon i think, to get air out of the line set before you release refrigerant gas. make sure you understand what should be on and off on the gauge set before you release gas. vacuum out and watch for an hour to make sure vacuum is holding before you release gas. from what i read this $500 system will heat/cool about 1000sf in real world, and down to -5F outside temp. it's incredible. i will install my first of 3 next week. but based on the many many other reviews. i think this is perfect system for me. if scared of the gas, install the whole system then call a reefer guy to vacuum and release the gas from the condensor unit. i am soooo stoked to get these going. saves money over natural gas which is amazing. update. worked perfect all summer. now late november and nighttime temperatures going down. last night i get no heat . nothing. on my nightstand is temperature monitor. it got down to 57F. well i had rovsun set at 68F . guess what... at ceiling level where rovsun is it is indeed 68F. but at my bed two feet off the floor it is 57F. so easy fix ... set system at 88F and it will be about 78F on my bed... problem solved. i thought system was broken. it is not... love this thing. also. you can easily shorten the lineset provided using a flare coupler. just have to buy a flare tool and watch some youtubes. no need to braze or solder.

We bought this for an RV and it works PERFECT!! Would run off of solar panels and 2 100 ah batteries as it pulls little amps!! So QUIET you have to put ribbons on it to tell it's running! UPDATE: AFTER 15 MONTHS (Warranty only 12) THE COMPRESSOR WENT TO CRAP!!! ASKED IF THEY COULD, AT LEAST, SELL US A NEW COMPRESSOR, WHICH WE THOUGHT REASONABLE! BUT NO, ONLY "SORRY" YOU EXPERIENCE PROBLEM...😡 LATEST UPDATE ; Rovsun has indicated they MIGHT send new outdoor unit. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME, and l will re-up the FIVE STAR REVIEW IF THEY COME THROUGH ✔️ Warm weather's coming🤞

If you have a heating or cooling problem in one of your areas and I'm tired of the HVAC giving you constant problems then I would strongly suggest going with one of these ROVSUN brand mini split systems. They are a instant solution to all the old problems I have a 25 unit mobile home park and every single one of my units have these ROVSU in mini split systems in them The $18,000 BTU are in the living room / kitchen areas in the 9000/12,000 BTUs are in the smaller rooms and you can freeze yourself out of there and hang meat if you'd like.

For 15 years we have relied on through-the-wall & window AC units. Currently these units have a efficiency rating of SEER 11, cooling only. This older home has no duct system, rooms are mostly cathedral ceilings. First I am attracted to the high seer rating, and additionally to the powerful fan delivering air across the room , silently. This was my second install. I acquired vacuum pump, flaring tool & tourqe wrench for the first install. Installing the head indoors is quite simple. Use a stud finder to avoid one. Cutting drywall easy, push insulation out of the way and continue through the outside siding in our case. Mount backplate, route tubes, wiring & drain through hole and snap in place. Bought wall brackets & line cover kit for the outside. Cut the tubing down as required to clean the route against the wall. Vacuum and test line, once completed release freon on the pre-charged outside unit. HOT TIP, use a sealing compound on the homemade flange. Guarantees no future leak. Also prefect your homemade flange by tightening the connection first to enlarge and form a copper line to perfect the seal, remove add sealing compound and reconnect. I was able to locate my interior plug & route the wire to an outside box for electrical connection. This has been in for a year now. Good savings on cooling. Can not hear it run. Posting review as I order unit no 3.
